Hey Ladies!
I've been stalking Dr. Boutté reviews for a while now and I must say you all have really contributed to my decision to choose her as my doctor.
I had my initial consultation with with Shontel about a month and a half ago, and after much deliberation, my procedure has finally been scheduled for June 27th! I will be having Lipo 360 done which includes upper and lower abdomen, flanks (love handles), bra roll, and lower and upper back.
I must say that I am experiencing a roller coaster of emotions as my surgery date is 3 days away! Sometimes I'm really nervous and sometimes I'm excited. My biggest concern is my skin (sagging, lumpy) and I know the answer to that is COMPRESSION! I feel like I'm not as informed as I should be about garments! I've seen you ladies talk about compression garments, ab boards, binders, and corsets. How do I know which to use!?
I will be posting my before pictures and weight this evening. I hope to post as much as possible to keep you ladies informed as you've done for me!

Hi makeupmagnet! I will be posting pictures this evening once these meds wear off. Keep an eye out for before photos and post-op day one! I am "kind of" traveling. I live about 1.5-2 hours from her location. Thanks for the comment! :)

Good luck to u. I'm 3 weeks post tdy! They give u a binder. I ordered my faja, ab board & foams from my God sister that sells waist trainers. But you can order from amazon. I ordered my corsets a while back from a corset shop in my local mall.

Hi there shonawoo! Congratulations on being 3 weeks post op. I wish I was there because last night was a crazy experience. I'll write an updated post to tell you guys all about it. They only gave me a CG and said my skin would be too sensitive for a binder right now (which I think is weird but I'm just going with the flow). They said I can get the binder at my 1 week post op. Happy healing and let's stay in touch, I may want to order from your cousin! :)

I just had my procedure on Thursday and not quite yet ready to give my review. I'm almost positive she didn't start my liposuction (I heard a male voice talking to the nurse and tech) but she did finish it! You can purchase your faja from Leonisa in Norcross Ga. the garment the give have bones in them which can cut off circulation to your skin and cause extra bruising up t necrosis. I got the garment that goes to your knees with the hooks at the abdomen area. I wish you a speedy recovery !

Hi P21! You're absolutely right!!! She did not start the procedure. I only know this because the cocktail of pills and cherry bomb didn't do anything for me! I was wide awake!! (I will tell you all about it in my next post this evening). The put the CG inside out on me because they said I have sensitive skin. I'm going to call them today to get some more information on that. I wish you a speedy recovery as well! We're around the same surgery date so let's stay in touch!
June 28, 2017
P21, I'm thinking about scheduling for next month....did you have pain during the procedure too? That scares me!!
June 28, 2017
I think you not having the garment on for a week is a good thing, believe me! I go see them this afternoon, I'll keep you posted! :-)

Really!? I feel like I'm missing out because I keep on reading that compression is key! Is today your 1 week post opp appointment? If so, I hope everything goes well. Keep me posted :)
June 29, 2017
Do not take that CG off for a week! It is what helps you heal! OMG!

How did you shower during the first week!?
June 29, 2017
I have a hook over the shower where I keep my shampoo and soap, I hook my drain up and wash myself. Unfortunately when I have to turn around I have to put the drain over my shoulder and keep it close so it doesn't fall.

I actually took a trip to Walmart to purchase some hooks. I ran into the sam issue when I had to turn around, ugh! How was your appointment yesterday?
June 30, 2017
It went ok. I developed a mild case of necrosis but the nurse said it will go away. And is the reason I suggested that you not wear your garment for a week like they recommended. I finally got to put my garment back on, it hurt like heck last night but I feel much better today.

I'm glad you're feeling much better. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Were you able to get your drains removed?
June 30, 2017
Thanks! Unfortunately not, I'm still draining way more than 25cc per 24 hours but she did say I definitely can get it removed tomorrow. They only placed one drain because I didn't have a lot of belly fat. I had two kids back to back and wanted my flat tummy back asap.
June 28, 2017
Tomorrow was my appointment but it was moved up to today. You will still have time to compress all that swelling, one week won't make or break anything, remember you're going to be wearing the compression garments for at least a few months and that's when it counts. Do not put that garment on for the first week as they instructed!!! Very important.
User Avatar
June 28, 2017
Thanks so much for that advice. You just gave a piece of mind as I was freaking out about out enough compression. So basically just use the garment I was wearing after the procedure right?
June 30, 2017
Nct2017 please compress as instructed!!! Compression will help will swelling, your ultimate figure, and help with you skin to reattach to muscles! Compression is key. I'm 6 months post op and compressed as instructed for the first 6 months with ab board, binder , and compression garment!!!

Day 1 Post-Op

Good morning ladies! I must say that yesterday was one hell of a rollercoaster, but I'm glad it's done!!
I'm convinced that I have a high tolerance for drugs because I was awake pretty much THE WHOLE TIME!!! It was so painful that I cried and said "please stop, I don't care if I already paid for this, take my money!"
I don't want to scare you ladies but I'm just explaining my experience. I've read so many other reviews where patients don't remember a thing.
So because I was so alert, I know that Dr. Boutte didn't start my surgery, it was a male doctor. (Side note: he was so good looking! Haha). Later on, Dr. Boutte came in and went it! I'm tell you this pain was so bad that I bit the nurse's hand.
Oddly enough, I had an appointment for 9am but I got there at 8am BUT I didn't leave until 8pm. My boyfriend from out of state came to pick me up and the nurse suggested that I had a grilled chicken sandwich from Chich-fil-A. Damn that sandwich was good!! I was able to hold it down and didn't feel nauseous all. Then I knocked out on the way home (I live about 1.5-2 hours away.
The pain isn't that bad, my lower back hurts the most. The most annoying thing I'm experiencing is using the bathroom. I drink A LOT of water so I find myself peeing every 30 minutes to an hour. It's difficult to bend over and snap the compression garment and my boyfriend has to go back to New York for work tomorrow. I'm pretty scared to take care of myself on my own, so I will be relying on support from my fellow Real Self ladies!
I will post pictures now! And please feel free to ask ANY questions!

Hey Sheree202! I hope your consult went well. Who did you meet with? Yeah I don't know why the cocktail knock me out, but I'm still happy I did it. I can wait to take my garment off for the first time this evening. Thank you for wishing me a quick recovery! Did you schedule a date?
June 28, 2017
I met with Shontel. She was great. I'm thinking about scheduling for July 28! How were you the evening of your surgery? I have an 8 yr old and I want to minimize what he sees me go through! Your after pictures are pretty inspiring!!!!

I met with Shontel as well!! She's so kind. I actually had an appointment at 9am but didn't finish until the evening around 9pm. I was pretty groggy and knocked out as soon as I got home. He will probably just see mom limping. And thank you so much! I can't wait to take off my garment this evening!
June 28, 2017
I'm excited for you!! :)

Thank you!! I was worried about loose skin too but and even though I have some loose skin now, I rather that than my big stomach. I can hide loose skin but I can't hide a big stomach! Best of luck love!
