Fresh Air Today!

So today I ventured out for the first time. Unfortunately I tried to get all my Christmas shopping done but Father Time snuck up on me. My fiancé drove me around as I laid in the passenger seat on my belly! It was actually comfortable. I have been able to wean myself off of the narcotics and just took extra strength Tylenol today. My body is definitely still very sore but moving around is getting better. I was able to put on some sweats and a t-shirt and felt confident walking around in my new body. My 1st post op visit is set for 12/28.

2 Days Post Op

So I am recovering at home for day 2 of my post op journey. Today was definitely worser than yesterday as all of the anesthesia medication is worn off completely. My abdomen is sore and walking was nor difficult today. I am staying on top of my pain meds which is awesome and I have isolated myself for most of the day to rest. I am drinking tons of water and trying to maintain my diet. My belly is swollen and puffy and I have minimal bruising. I can't wait to see what my looks likes after a few weeks. I am loving my booty but I was suppose to get fat transferred to my hips I don't see any of that yet so it has me a little worried. Nurse Lee called me last night to check on me which was awesome. Just itchy itchy itchy today. Benadryl is my best friend!!!!

Full Time Mom of Twin Toddlers, Full Time RN & Graduate Student Getting my Pre-wedding Body Ready!!!

So I have been researching BBLs for over a year and finally found a clinic I was comfortable with. First off, the clinic was grade A+ clean/nice. It felt like I walked into a spa. I worked with Crystal for my consultation and Sylvia for my pre-op. Then were both very polite. The only thing that bothered me was that I left an email for Crystal and she never replied to it, but a nurse myself I know it is hard to get things done when you hundreds of women wanting consultations etc, so looking at the bright side of things if this was my only complain, I will gladly take that lol. I eventually called up there several days later and talked to Sylvia. I felt at home with this clinic!!! I meet Dr. Boutte the week before my surgery (she came in on her day), which I thought, was amazing. She was very attentive and answered all of my question, so I did not feel rushed. So far its day 1 on my post-op and I can honestly say the pain from my c-section was way worse than this. I am just very sore and the draining of the blood/liquid is so annoying lol. But the price was pay to get snatched and it’s worth it in my eyes. I am sad that I can't pick up daughters (2 years old) but I have live in help right now. Towards the end of the procedure I began to feel pain when she inserted the fat in my buttocks. That was the only thing that I was disturbed by during the entire procedure. Mr Boutte was great and gave me several breaks to catch my breath because the timing was to early for me to receive any other pain meds. I plan to post tons of pictures! I will load my pre-op pics during this entry! Enjoy and be looking out for me to post more pics!!!

Dr Boutté was amazing she came to meet with me for a personal consultation on her day off which was so sweet of her! She was very patient and pleasant when answering all of my questions. During the surgery I could feel a little pain towards the end but the nurse, a med student and Dr. Boutté were reassuring and comforting. The med student even held my hand. They kept cheering me on that I could do this and it was almost over. Which it was! The drugs they give you before definitely helped relax me and made the situation even better. They only downside was with the communication with the front desk personnel. They really don't return emails promptly but as a nurse myself I see how that can be a problem when you have hundreds of potential clients trying to reach you. Crystal and Sylvia were both pleasant and Sylvia was great about returning calls and being available when I called in. Overall great experience and I would do it all again with her if I could!!!
