I've always hated my thin lips... My bottom lip...
WORTH IT$3,500
I've always hated my thin lips... My bottom lip was okay I guess, but my top lip was almost non existent..
The only reason I had never done any type of corrective or cosmetic action before now is because of how expensive it can be.
I started with injections.. I had 3 different visits at 3 different doctors offices in a time span of less than a year! Whatever it was that they used to inject into my lips never lasted longer than a couple of months. And at $500 per visit, I had literally wasted $1500. When I learned of a permanent solution with implants, that's when I decided that I wanted to have this procedure done.
I had the procedure done Thursday morning, the 17th.. The medicine they gave me knocked me out. I remember getting the shots in my mouth, but nothing after that until I woke up in the car on the way to the pharmacy for my pain meds.
The first day was pretty painful, but I felt like I just slept the entire day so I wasn't awake much to feel the pain.
Day 2 wasn't near as bad with regards to pain.
My lips are swollen and bruised, but that's to be expected.
So far so good.
Will continue to update. I'm waiting before I say it was worth it. I feel like it was, but I don't want to speak too soon.

Monday, Day 5
Monday, May 21. Day 5 (counting day of procedure). The pain is minimal. Swelling has gone down and I think/hope this is what they will look like permanently. As of today, the most annoying things are the little stitches in the corners of my mouth and that my lips feel numb and tingly at the same time. They just feel weird. But as of today, my only regrets are that I should have done this sooner and I wish I would have went with a bigger size in my top lip. :( I still have some bruises but they are gradually going away. I go back to the Dr. on Wednesday for my follow up appointment.

How are you feeling now, has the swelling gone down? Have you seen any difference since the last pic that you posted? Also, did you do Permalip? Please advise
Happy healing :)

Thanks! :)
My lips still have a slight tingling sensation, however, it seems to be gradually getting better. I HOPE all the swelling is gone, because if my lips shrink much more, I'm going to be SAD! LOL. My other regret now is that I should have went with the biggest size implants. :( And yes, I have Permalip implants. I'm pleased with the results... They look very natural. Now that all the swelling is gone, I wish I would have gone bigger.

My apologies for answering so late. I literally just now saw this when I went to add an updated review. Yes, I think there's a difference between the last picture I posted and now. It seems like my lips keep SHRINKING! I was going to post an updated picture so I could compare... Maybe it's that I've just gotten used to them looking like this now? I don't know. I don't regret having the procedure done. I just regret that I didn't go with the bigger size implant.

As of today, my biggest regret is NOT going with the biggest size implant
Overall, I'm very pleased... I hope all the swelling has gone and that this is what "normal" looks like. I'm a little disappointed in myself for not choosing the biggest size implants. But my lips are natural looking, which is ok too. There is still a little big of a tingling sensation... But that appears to be gradually going away. I just hope my lips stay the size they are now... and don't shrink any more! LOL! :)
