4 week 4 day check up

I can't believe that it has been 1 month already. My girls are feeling more like they are a part of me and not an addition. I had my post - op appointment today and my PS said that they look perfect. I found out for sure that my implants are:
Allergan Natrelle Inspira Round Cohesive Gel
520 grams (slightly larger than cc's)
Smooth
Over the muscle
Inframammary Incision

For the next 6 months I am to do some massaging of my breasts twice a day. I am to move them up, down, left and right as well as squeeze them. Not a hard thing to do. I like my new boobies. I should have done this a long time ago. Im glad I waited for the newer technology. I only had 2 office appointments with my PS, yet if there were any concerns I could contact his office at anytime or him personnally. I met with him for my consult that included my implant sizing and then today at my 4 week mark. If I had my implants under the muscle then I would have had my second appointment at my 6 week mark.

My PS has given me the go ahead to exercise (with a good supporting bra), relax in the evening, sleep or a night out on the town (with no bra). He has encouraged me that during the day I continue to wear a good bra. This way the girls will stay perky and not sag and turn into as he said about my pre-op breasts, (old lady boobs).

He was very pleased and said they were perfect. He asked what I thought and I told him that I couldn't be more happy with the results. I wanted to look proportioned and that is what he has given me.

Dr. Hasell also told me not to suntan my incisions yet. To make sure that they are covered up. This way they will pretty much fade right out instead of turning pink. Right now when I feel my incisions I feel a few little lumps he said that it was just the 3 sutures that are under the skin that will dissolve in 2-4 more weeks.

I am so excited about this. Work starts up again at the beginning of September. I wonder if anyone will notice and say something or if they will be oblivious to it. Before my surgery I wore bras that made me look almost the size that I am. I am hoping that people don't notice. If they do I hope they talk to me about it instead of talking behind my back, like many people do.

Now I need to lose more weight (20 -30 lbs.)
I will post a few more pictures soon. Hopefully when I am 10-15 lbs. lighter. I am a big procrastinator. I would rather do other things than exercise. Once I have done it though I feel good and am glad that I did it. It is just the, lighting the fire under by butt, to get me started. It is hard when I don't have anyone to encourage me and to do it with me. I can do this. I've done it before.

3 Week (Day 21) Update

What a difference in how I feel from Day 10 to Day 21. I can sleep on my side, which is wonderful since I am a side sleeper. I have had more energy, less pain and I have been able to do more physical work (house/yard work). The scabs on my incisions are gone and my incisions look wonderful and are starting to feel better. I love being around the house braless (few hours at a time). I find that my breasts get tired and I need some support. I ordered some nipple covers so that I can go braless in public and not be self conscience of my nipples showing. LOL! I love how I look. My husband is likewise enjoying how I look. I am still numb and my nipples are sensitive. The numbness isn't as broad as on Day 10. Such a weird feeling being numb. I look forward to the day when my nipples aren't sensitive. Patience right? I now have a little bounce happening with the girls when I go down the stairs. I love it.

My family members who know that I went through a BA and have seen me think that I look good and that I went with a really good implant size. I wanted to be proportionate and they feel that I am. Yay!
They also have said that people probably wouldn't look at me and say, "Whoa she had a boob job!" I didn't want this to happen.

Thanks again to everyone on this site who have shared their stories, and have given me encouragement and support. You have made this journey of mine encouraging and bearable. I am so glad that I made the decision to get a BA. Now I just hope that moving forward will be nothing but positive.

Day 18

I was finally able to do more today without any nerve pain in my right breast. I felt really good. I was even able to lay on either side when I went to sleep. I am a side sleeper and that felt wonderful. The bottom half of my breasts are very numb, has anyone else experienced this and how long did it take for your numbness to go away? My nipples are a little sensitive but not too bad.

I will post more pictures in a few days when I hit my 3-week mark.

Dr. Hasell is amazing. Very knowledgeable, kind, patient, and very experienced in this area. His office staff is wonderful as well. I had a good experience. Day of my surgery. I was the second one in for surgery that day out of 5. Every one of the ladies was getting their implants sub muscular except for me. Dr. Hasell was explaining a few things to me and saying that when they go under the muscle they put a little bit more CC's in. I mentioned to him that I thought that he was going over the muscle with me and so he checked and I was right. Lesson learned. Before you go under the knife make sure that your surgeon tells you where he is placing the implant so that you and your PS are doing what you had discussed. I almost had a placement that I didn't need. I did however get 520 cc's instead of 500cc's. Im okay with this. 20cc's is not that big of deal. My PS is still amazing and his surgical staff are too.
