Well I didn't end up getting my BA. I instead ended up pregnant! I now have a year and a half old baby and am officially done breast feeding, so the cards are back on the table! Hubby got the snip so no more surprise babies haha!
If you can believe it, my pathetic breasts are even more pathetic now. This last baby literally drained me.
I think I'm going to book a consultation with doctor Hassel, and see how I like him, if I don't like him I'll be venturing to Calgary or back to Dr Brooks.
I have time, I am hoping to pay for the majority of it up front so, I'll be saving for sure.

Calling on Monday
I have decided to go with Dr. Brooks.
I am calling Monday to book my pre-op and schedule my surgery. We talked about possibly Dec 10 as a date as he is at a plastic surgery convention in November.
Here are the reasons I chose Dr Brooks.
1) I felt completely comfortable with him
2) he was insistant that I be minimum 3 months nicotine free before surgery
3) he explained everything very clearly and his patient coordinator was prompt with email inquiries back to me
4) I felt like he would only use what my body could handle for size and shape to avoid complications
I will update Monday when I have the exact details!
Eek only 3 or less months to go now!

congrats hon! that's a big step and an exciting one! good for you :) xoB.
Thanks! I hope you're feeling better!
It is a very exciting time pre-BA! Very happy for you that you've made plans to get your surgery by year end. Gives you plenty of time to prepare and research. :)
Thank you! I'm super excited!
Hey there beautiful!
I found your story on the upcoming surgery calendar, very near the date I am intending to do mine :)
I am also 26 yo, and I tought I would wait more to have the BA done (have no kids yet) but I think doing this "early" in life will give me the chance to enjoy the implants to the max :)
Congrats on making this important decision! Looking foward to share thoughts with you :)

have you received a quote from Dr. Brooks for your procedure? There aren't as many reviews for us Alberta girls, it's hard to do research close to home, lol. He's rated well on ratemds.com, and I have requested a consult as well.

Well I didnt try on sizers, but I got my measurments done and spent almost an hour wit. Dr Brooks to discuss everything that goes along with breast augmentation.
I felt like he understood what I wanted and explained all the risks and benefits to the surgery. I quit smoking about 8 weeks ago and although he congratulated me, he also said that he likes to see 3 months before he'll consider operating on someone.
He talked about Dr hassel considering I am from Lethbridge and wondered if I had been to see him yet.
He told me that Dr hassel does more breast surgeries than all doctors in southern Alberta combined and that he respects his work. This made me feel comfortable that he didn't feel the need to compete or downplay another doctor.
His reecommendation for me was 350cc natrelle style 20, which is the high profile. He said to go any bigger I would have to go with the uhp and he thinks that i would be able to feel and see the implant with this style. He said that due to not having much breast tissue (less than 1cm :( haha) that I could see rippling even with silicone in the larger sizes.
He explained that i have symmetrical breasts but one of nipples is slightly lower andthe other faces slightly more outwards and that adding an implant won't change that. He explained that I'll see thosr minor imperrfections in the final result and that he wanted to make sure I was aware of everything before hand.
I have a good feeling about him and think I'm going to talk to my finance and decide whether to just boon with him or wait until the consult with Dr hassle Before making a decision .
I feel with how busy Dr hassle is that I might not get the attention, and after care that i want. Any ladies find that busier doctors tend to give less attention?

Oh yah! I forgot you were going for a consult with a different dr before dr Hasell.. Sorry! Ignore my comment on your previous post. Lol. :)
From what I've read dr Hasell is good for after care. I do know he doesn't do a post op apt until 10 days if your in lethbridge, or 6 weeks if your out of town. Unless you need something. He said that he rarely finds that people need to come in any sooner then that. For us that was actually kind of conforting. It said that he is confident enough in his work that he doesn't need to check and "make sure" things are ok. Although waiting sucks, I feel like going to a dr that does that many BA's says something for him. He often does 5 or 6 a day!

We have similar stats but am 3 inches shorter and Natrelle SRF335s brought me from 34A to 34DD and they fit me perfectly. Judging from your pre op pix you are going to have an awesome perky result without a large gap imho .
Thank you!
I had my BA done by DR Hasell on Aug 11. I researched other DRs but he was the only one I went to a consult for. He was very matter of fact, got to the point but answered any questions I did have. I think it would be worth it for you to see him for a consult. After that go with what your gut tells you and who you feel more at ease with
Yeah I just wish the wait for the consult wasn't so long. I think I'm okay with a wait for surgery, but to even talk to him is months and months. Ahh! But yours look great so far.
i think I'll Go to the consult, maybe I'll call and ask to be put on a cancellation list since I live right here in town

You should call and get put on one. Peggy is really great. You never know what will happen
sounds like a really great doctor hon... total props to him on not needing to downplay other surgeons... you found a goodun and I'm sure your results will be awesome. You have loads more breast tissue than me... great foundation! I have way way less. In fact, I have none (well my surgeon tells me that's not quite true but you know what I mean). I hope the time goes fast for you in the lead up to your appointment... time seemed to stand still for ages for me, but today here I am... op day! woohoo! :) B.
Congrats on your surggery! They look awesome so far. I look forward to hearing about your progress :) and thank you for your kind words
thanks hon! I am over the moon at this stage! Look forward to following your journey :)
I've heard he does more breast augmentations then any other doctor in Alberta , which is crazy! It's no wonder it takes so long to get in to see him
