Seriously how cute are these stitches? Haha.
I feel fine. Woke up swollen. In great spirits. Iced it a bit today but not worried. Slept well last night.

Apologize in advance for the gross nose hairs to come on this multi day review!

Keeping it shiny with Polysporin.

Left Side Alarplasty

Hi!
I have been a long time user of RealSelf, and of course it only works if you give back. So here will be my Alarplasty story.
I had spent years thinking of a Rhinoplasty and ultimately landed on going to see Dr. Jamil Asaria. I do believe the wait time for me to get in for a consult was 6 months. I didn't mind. There is no need to rush things of this importance ;)
During the consult he told me, haha, no you do not need a rhinoplasty. This made me trust him even more. We decided on only a left side alarplasty to balance the nostrils. I had to wait an additional 6 months for my appointment but again, not a concern for me at all. Please prepare for the procedure to happen months away as he is in high demand for his detailed work.
I went in yesterday for the procedure, everyone was incredibly nice and calming. I did feel a bit nervous but now I wonder for what, as the entire thing was completely painless and fast. The local freezing felt like nothing and I was awake for the all 20 minutes it took to get it done.
I only took a T3 last night before dinner. I have been trying not to move my mouth/talk to anyone and will continue this for the remainder of the week. How you spend your time healing is nearly as important as the procedure itself! Please consider your role in this.
I've been resting, drinking water, green juice, healthy food and applying the polysporin to the incision as directed 3x a day. On the fourth day I'll switch to vaseline. Next week he will take out the stitches that you see under my nose. The incision itself is so small and hardly noticeable.
I'll post updates as things progress :)
