Week 3 Update

Big steps the past couple days! My ps had me take my steri-strips off last night. It was terrifying! They are SOO sticky! I thought my stitches were going to pop a couple time when I woke up during the night. It was a weird feeling. The first time my bra was rubbing on my scars (for the first time ever) and it really hurt. It scared the crap out of me. The second time I woke up my underboobs felt really warm and I thought I was bleeding. Paranoia will do weird things to you!
My left boob became Vastly more squishy over the course of today. It was the weirdest thing.
I also figured out why the bottom of my ribs have been hurting. I have strands right under my scars from my boobs to my ribs. I never noticed it before. More stretching to come!
I've been putting Bio-Oil on my boobie skin to help with the tightness. It seems to be doing some good. I'll be getting mederma soon for my scars, that's what my ps recommends. I'm getting the heavy-duty stuff, too!
Oh, and I don't have to wear my strap anymore either! Yay!
I'm going to start being more active and doing some lower-body workouts to get myself going again. Still a ways to go on this journey, but I actually feel like I'm making progress now.
Happy healing to everyone on this side, and good luck to everyone still waiting to go under the knife!

Your sacar looks very small so I'm sure it will heal nicely. I also plan on using mederma advanced but will see my doctor tomorrow see what he recommends. I heard the strap is painful so glad your done with that! Can't wait to see more progress :)

My strap wasn't TOO bad, but mine was more of a lightweight ACE bandage than the pre-made compression strap I see some ladies stuck with. My ps is magical when it comes to scars! The placement he did is just about perfect. Good luck with your healing!

Looking great! I wish I'd picked implants closer to you in size. Your results are looking beautiful.

Thank you! :) I'm really happy I picked this size. I originally wanted to go smaller, but I upsized a tiny bit, based on the fact that I thought I'd get used to the smaller size really fast and then be unhappy (realistically I started with nothing, so I would be been ok with almost anything). I think you look really good. I can see where it could be overwhelming, tho. Even these give me days when I feel like they're a tad large. I try to stay away from lined bras, but that's hard, even among sports bras! My only 'real' bra so far is lined and makes me concious of the girls a little more than normal. Hopefully you'll get adapted to your new size and it won't bother you. You really do look great! Keep writing those Cs on your tags if you need to! :)

Wow! You're looking GREAT! Those scars are going to become freaking invisible soon enough! Your PS did a great job on them! Glad to hear your recovery is going well so far!

I have my surgery next Tuesday with Dr. Yates. Very similar body type and am choosing the same implant. Having second thoughts on going back to the 285 medium profile. I told him I wanted to go just tad bigger so we decided on 295 HP. Thoughts on your size? They look great. I really want to keep a pretty natural look.

You are my new boob idol haha your results are amazing! I'm all booked in for June 2nd and can't decide between 300cc and 325cc although I hear the difference is almost nothing.

Almost 2 weeks already!

Almost two whole weeks already since my surgery. It actually seems like it was longer ago than that. My hubby agrees, he doubts me whenever I say how long it's been. He thought it had been at least 3 weeks when we were talking earlier tonight.
I'm apparently dropping and fluffing well, although it doesn't feel like it a lot of the time. I looked at pics from 9 days ago in one of my sports bras and the same shot taken tonight and there's a Big difference. It's hard to notice changes like that when you carry them around all day. They're getting softer, too. I worry that they'll not get as squishy as I think they should be, but I know that will come with time.
My incisions itch a bit, which is a good sign. Another week until the steri-strips can come off. I'll be Really happy when they do. It's getting annoying. I also can't wait to See my scars and see what they actually look like instead of just a nasty piece of tape under my boobs!
I finally found a bra that actually fits today, I got it at JCP and it's Sooo much better than having to wear a sports bra all the time. My skin's been getting a bit raw from the stretchy material touching my breasts where there used to be an air gap under my bra. This new one is much more comfy (I'll figure out which one it is and post details on the pic if anyone wants to know..).
Apparently it's late because my brain just shut off and I have no idea what else I was going to write about... Oh, I've been off of pain killers (even ibuprofen) since pretty much a week. My armpit pain persists, but it's getting better. I no longer have a strong desire to kill myself every time I accidentally reach out for something wrong.

You're doing really well with getting off the pain killers. I also had a severe sharp pain from reaching. It's really good when that stops happening. I can see how your breasts have "dropped" over time too.

I have a pretty high pain/discomfort tolerance and a pretty low 'being medicated' tolerance, so I knew I'd be off of them pretty quickly. Just occasional ibuprofen if I overdo it at work or something now. I'm doing my best to lay low still. I'm also trying to stretch my armpit as much as I can remember to get that nerve or tendon or whatever to loosen up. I'll be stoked when that's gone!

You look awesome! So happy for you. I just went to Dr Yates also. So glad you were able to get your surgery. You look fabulous.

Thank you! I'm glad, too. I would've been crushed if I couldn't have done it. Dr Yates is FANTASTIC! :D

Yep! Definitely dropping and fluffing! Looking good! They'll keep dropping, fluffing and getting squishier in week 3. :)

Yay for pictures!! They look amazing! Are you loving them? Why do you say it's good that the stiches ich ??

Thank you! I do love them! Still getting used to them being there, though, haha! Itching wounds mean healing is happening. Mild itching, anyway, I don't suspect that unbearable itching would be a good sign...

Yay I'm glad to hear that :) okay good because I have mild itching here and there. Any ideal what scar gel you will use?

I'm not positive, but I'm leaning towards bio-oil unless Dr Yates recommends something else. I've used it to prevent stretch marks while I was pregnant and it seemed to work really well. Its supposed to be great for scars. Plus, from what I've read, the rubbing of the scar itself is a big part of the healing process.

Thanks for the tip! I plan to ask my doctor on the 6th as well and I'll let you know what he recommends. I used mederma advanced gel with vitamin E in the past and it worked great!

I feel the same way about worrying that mine will never be squishy like real boobs! Every day I walk around squeezing my boobs and worrying that this is as soft as they'll get. You can see big changes in your photos-- looking good!

I just read your comment and thought you said you were walking around squeezing other people's boobs! haha I'm a little tired I guess! I do the same thing (squeezing mine). I do notice changes sometimes, like today I noticed I can squish them together a LITTLE bit more than before. Patience is key! :)

Haha! I misunderstood the same thing!
December 31, 2015
Haha! I'm not opposed to squeezing someone else's boobs if they need a squeeze;) but now that I have my own, I'll be content squeezing my own! (Could I say squeeze more?!?) honestly, I think my boobs are just as big of a turn on to me as they are to my husband!

Absolutely! I'm 'in the mood' a lot more seeing the sexy chick in the mirror instead of the 15 year old boy's chest...

Me too! Which is a big reason why I did this...so hooray for bringing sexy back!!! (I've had a few beers...)

It's been over a week and I'm doing quite well. I've been really active at work since I got back, not lifting much, just moving bunches of little stuff and walking around a bunch. I'm still taking ibuprofen pretty regularly and a valium every once in a while when I've been feeling a little over accomplished. The other day at work I accidentally took a larger dose of pain killer than I should have and the rest of that day was InTeReStInG! hehe.
My armpit pain has pretty well gone away over the past few days and my range of motion is better all the time. My breast skin is kind of sensitive from being stretched and having a bra against them all the time. I've had an air gap in my bra for Years and it's taking a little getting used to having cloth against my skin. My nipples are a little sensitive for the same reason (and my husband thinks it's hilarious to play with them because I freak out...) And I'm still wearing the band (mostly) all the time, which is not super comfy, but it'll help everything settle, so I'm doing it.
I can tell that they're dropping and softening a little, I am starting to get actual creases underneath, and they're getting a bit more squishy. They're starting to feel like more a part of me and I can't wait until they're not sore anymore and I can sleep on my side and snuggle my hubby properly.
My brain's shutting off for now, so I'll update more soon :)
Merry Christmas!!
