Faded Microblading Removal - Picosure Laser

I went to Denver, CO to have microblading done in August of 2017 and absolutely LOVED them. I followed all aftercare and had the touch up appointment 6 weeks later. The ink began "turning" red within a year or so. Really it was that the other ink tones faded the most quickly, and left the red behind. I have had several people ask me why, if I loved my brows initially, why I didn't go in to have the ink color corrected. The answer to that is because the ink that was already in the microblading was the problem and I didn't want to add more, potentially compounding the issue. (We will get to this in a bit). They were so red/orange that I spent more time covering them every morning than I ever did on my brow makeup prior to getting microblading done. Cruel irony. After 2+ years of this, I debated the pros and cons of laser vs. saline removal and ultimately settled on laser. I went to Altaire Clinic in Fargo for my first Picosure treatment on 12/03/2020 - I mean when I say this is a 10/10 clinic, I cannot say enough good things about Rick Schue and his staff. They did use a numbing cream which helped tremendously. (I have had extensive laser removal of other tattoos so I had a good frame of reference). The healing process was unpleasant and itchy, but I was able to use some light makeup on them after a couple of weeks. At my first visit, I explained why I had not gotten any color correction after my brows began turning red. Rick agreed, indicating this would have only helped temporarily, and by adding more ink it would have complicated/extended my laser treatments. My second treatment was 01/21/2021 and I fully expected the same healing process, but fortunately I was completely wrong. They were slightly tender that night but by the next day looked back to normal and felt fine. I am going back for a third (and likely final) treatment in April. I am thrilled with the results thus far.
