I am super excited! Finally booked my hotel and flights. My mother and little brother are coming along to help and also have fun of course! So surgery date is May 24th. I will stay until May 28th. When I called to see how long I should stay, the female told me 3 to 4 days post op so hopefully that is long enough. I am just trying to lose weight, doing ok so far. I still need to do get my lab work done but haven't heard from them at all. Does anyone know when I should be expecting to recieve the forms? I still need help gathering all the supplies I need so any tips/suggestions are more than welcome!

I actually JUST got off the phone with a home care service! I'm already feeling better just knowing it's an option!! Pricey, but I think it'll be wayyyy worth it! Omg I'm really feeling better already.

Check out Dr Lane Smith in Vegas my experience was amazing ! His staff, the nurses & anesthesiologist are all amazing.. I have a couple of pictures on my profile but I'm only 9 days PO!

Vegas or Miami?
So I have been researching PS still even though I have my pre-op scheduled already & I came upon a PS in Miami who has amazing results & way cheaper than what I am looking at ... ugh. I'm going to be calling tomorrow to see what they are all about ... I am highly interested but we shall see!

I had an awesome experience w/ my surgeon. You want the best results so you don't have any issues!
That's true. I want no regrets ... I might just need more time on choosing. I am willing to wait for the right PS (:
Keep in mind you may have a lower surgery cost, but you'll also need plane tickets, transportation, & care (recovery house) if necessary. I personally feel I'd recover most comfortably in my own home. You also won't have your PS nearby for post op visits or if you have other concerns.

I live in WA state so I would have to travel regardless :/ idk why I can't seem to find a PS I like in my state!? Thankfully my mom will be going with me so I will have her help :D About the cost, I kept that in mind but Miami PS has more result pics I like than Vegas PS. I was still researching for a PS because I only liked about 3 patient results they have on their website. I am starting to think that maybe I need more time to look for a PS I am 100% confident in, even though I wish I could have this procedure right away :/
Lol. It's definitely worth it to take your time. I was iron ally scheduled for 6 months out. I was looking into CA or GA, but I don't really want to travel right after surgery. Best of luck to you. With time & research, things should become more clear.

Whoa! Well I was looking into Dr.Osak ... i'm willing to wait for a good PS though!
I personally do appreciate the cold season downtime although I'll be in a bathing suit in December/January anyhow.
Don't rush this! I don't know how long you've been researching, but don't underestimate the virtue of patience. You can really stress yourself over this, which I think I'm doing a bit so I'm taking steps to calm my body.
Remember quality over quantity.
I'm doing things each weekend to prepare. If I get care for me & my daughter soon, that'd definitely relieve lots of stress & increase my excitement.
Just remember to take your time. Sooner may seem better than later, but you want to make sure you're completely comfortable with whoever you decide on to ultimately alter your body forever.

I spoke to a home care agency after my last response & that's a very real option. They'll cook & clean, transport me, help me bathe, everything I need!!! I already feel some relief!
