So, my daughter went to college this fall and I figured it was time to give something back to myself. I'm 44 and stay in moderate shape. My family has a genetic propensity for eye bags so that was at the top of the list along with a possible breast aug, because the girls had seen better days. I met with three board certified Plastic surgeons (didn't want to end up on an episode of Botched, ladies) and decided to go with Dr. Hankins based on his realistic assessment and reviews from some friends.

During the pre-consult with his nurse, The Amazing Bambi, she went over the different types of implants and had me try on different sizes to see where my head was with them. When I met with Doc he went over realistic expectations of the lower lid lift and the BA with and without a breast lift. (I like where the girls sit and scar badly so I opted to go without the lift). After the consult I was still unsure of sizing and had a second consultation. I chose to have a lower lid lift, BA with 500cc textured gummy implants and axillary Lipo for a better result. The Lipo was suggested by Bambi and I'm so glad she recommended it because I didn't even know such a magical procedure existed.

The anesthesiologist, Dr. Halloran, called the night before the procedure to review my health records. The surgery was problem free, the staff at center was amazing (thanks to Ro, the manager at the surgical center, for keeping my husband calm) . Post op the anesthesiologist gave me an anti-nausea patch which was life changing because anesthesia and pain meds usually make me pukey. They sent me home and then called to check up on my condition. I stuck religiously to the pain med regimen (added arnica and bromelain) and can honestly say that I never felt anything beyond mild discomfort.

I'm currently three weeks post op and thrilled with the results. There was almost no bruising with the lower lid lift (which apparently is uncommon, gotta love that arnica montana), the axillary area while still sore looks amazing, and despite my initial reservations about the size of the implants they look amazing and fit my 5' 10" frame beautifully.

There has been some hypersensitivity of the girls, but I read some suggestions from other reviewers and bought some Nippies(r) from Amazon.com and wearing them has taken care of that problem.

The results exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Dr. Hankins to anyone in the Las Vegas area. His front office staff seems to always be in transition, but Bambi and Susan are there for any questions you may have. Some previous patients have commented on Dr. Hankins lack of bedside manner, but I found him to be a man of good vibes, if a little on the serious side. (I mean I'm paying for his experience and skill set, not his conversation.)

Couldn't be happier.

Dr. Hankins is extremely professional and realistic. He did not attempt to sway my decision in any direction. He's there to listen to your wish list and then tell you how close he can get you to it. There are always risks. I appreciate honesty in a practitioner.
