WORTH IT$2,800
Did not like my profile & chin was naturally set a little farther back than I liked. Went w/large implant, easy procedure, zero bruising, 3rd day was worst swelling. I looked like a Nutty Professor/Jay Leno combo but after the head wrap came off swelling got much better & I love it @ 1 wk post-op!

Can h share before and after pics? Im getting a chin implant in three weeks and not sure what size to go for.

It was not even the least bit painful, but my chin felt heavy and pretty stiff. Hard to talk the first few days and now at 1 week & 1 day post op, I still feel it being a tiny bit heavy, People saw me on day 4 and literally didn't even know I had had surgery (even though I could definitely tell it was still pretty swollen and tried to keep my hair down with a hat on). Every day it feels more and more natural and I know it will get to the point where I don't even realize it's not my natural chin.

In Re: to size, I talked to Dr. Lanfranchi on my initial consult and looked at the different implants both the sizers and actual implants. He showed me the different sizes and I told him what I wanted to look like and told him I trusted him to make the final decision being that he does the procedures every day. I looked at small and medium but he went with large on the day of the surgery and I am happy that he did.

Couple requests for pics, I don't really want to put my whole face in them for all the world to see, but definitely don't mind sharing the portion that was changed. I think it came out great with a large implant. Looks natural and happy with the results.

So was this just a regular implant or did this also define the jawline aswell?
Great results?

This was implant only, but since the lighting is different the 2nd picture casts a shadow, but I will post a 6 week post op pic when I go back for pictures, and that should be the same lighting. However I do feel like my skin is tighter under my chin, but i think thats just my imagination and thats just part of how the recovery feels. Unfortunately, I don't have too many pre-op side profile pics except the ones taken in the doctors office, which is the 1st picture posted.

What is the specific model of the Implant? you said "large" but could you please ask your doctor the brand and model?, is it Implantech brand?, Is it "anatomical extended", "flowers mandibular" "button type" etc. there are many model and all of them affect the final result, I like your result and I'd like to know the specifics, Does your implant has "side wings" and do you feel them?, I hope you can put a front picture too, it's fine if you crop the rest of the face, Thanks

Sure, I go back at 6 weeks. All I know right now is it was a silicone implant. I don't believe it had side "wings" as the implant got smaller toward the sides in order to blend in with my natural jaw-line. Reminded me of a small silicone shape of a chinstrap or I also think of the shape of lips, where it's big in the center then tapers off as you go toward the sides. I did look at them in the consult so I will see if I can find something that looks similar in the mean time,
as it will be a little over a month before I return for my post op pics. Thanks!

Recently had a chin implant as well. I am exactly 12 days post op. Wish I had not put in complete photos.

What kind of anesthesia did you get ?
June 7, 2016
It was just some local shots. Fully awake the whole time, all I had taken was valium he prescribed. I'm not sure the actual drug used in the shots, but it literally felt like when you have a cavity and the dentist numbs your mouth (just a little lower and felt like I had a fat lower lip afterward due to the numbness).

wow that sounds like a relief! Did you have to go back to get a check up after if so how many days after ?

I did got back the next day just for him to check it out and make sure all was well. After that, I haven't been back until I go this Friday to take my 6 weeks post op pics.

Thanks for replying I think our cases should be a little similar. I'm getting in done a few hours away from home so I'm thinking of staying in a hotel for 1 day and then the next day go for a follow up. Where you able to drive instantly?
