Mid 50's and so happy I had this surgery done!! I'm so happy with the results. It's amazing what a little lift and lipo can do!! I still can't believe it's me!!! All the squats in the world didn't help me. I'm still a little swollen in my 1 week post op pic and will post another picture in a few weeks. Many thanks to Dr. Hankins and his staff for making this a wonderful experience. Two Thumbs Up!!!!

Hi, did you have any fat injections to your butt? So, how's your recovery? I want to know because I'll be flying in from southeast asia and really would like to go home as soon as possible. Dr Hughes in LA said, that I could leave in one week after the surgery. I opt for two weeks after, since I don't want to bring any drains home. I am doing only lifts, no fat injections. Thanks for sharing.

12 day update after surgery
The second day after surgery I went in for my post op appointment and felt good enough to curl my hair and put on makeup. It wasn't until day 3 & 4 I needed to just do nothing. I haven't taken any pain pills or valuims for about 4 days now. I needed the Valuims to keep me from wanting to clean the house, pick stuff up etc.... I had my drains removed 10 days after my surgery. Right now I feel back to normal but I do take it easy when bending over (to the floor) to pick something up. I continue to wear my compression garment (I don't know about you but I love wearing them) All in all the recovery has been a lot easier then a TT or BA. I just wish I had done this years ago. Thank you Dr. Hankins for making me look as sexy as I feel.

Hi and thank you for your post & pics. Any chance you could post a picture of what the scars look like now? I'm thinking of doing this & want to know how long they are etc. I look almost identical to your before picture.

Hi Angela good for you on wanting to get this surgery!!! The scars take a few months if not years to disappear. It all depends on how well you heal, skin type ect.
But nobody will see them but my husband . I will still be able to wear a 2 piece bathing suit.
I previously had a TT so I now have a full scar completely around my body, the TT scars are not very noticeable anymore. I will post some more pictures shortly I'm currently out of town. I know some people want large round rear ends but that isn't for me. I wanted thin curvy, not boyish look. Out of all the surgeries I have had this one is my husbands favorite. ( Shocker I thought the BA was his favorite lol.) It's only been 3 weeks since my surgery and this is a lot easier as far a recovery goes verses other procedures I've had done. I didn't have to take pain pills for very long the only thing that bothers me is sitting for a long time,lower back gets sore. Dr Hankins has done all of my procedures and I will definitely go to him for touch ups!!!! I've had TT, BA with lift, FL (FL was EZ) and upper lower Eyes done. My eyes were the most uncomfortable but only the first couple of days. I wish you the best and will def post some updated pictures soon. This surgery really made a big difference In a subtle way. So happy I did it!! A little nip and tuck never hurts. Now the outside matches how great I feel on the inside.
Just wanted to mention before I had this surgery I did have Thermage and it didn't give me any noticeable results.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. Most reviews are for a bbl which is great for those who want that.Ps your bum looks great. Hope the healing process is going well.
Did you have the fat from the lipo transferred to your butt (BBL) or did you just have the butt lift?
