Where do I begin? When I was a little girl I would...

Where do I begin? When I was a little girl I would literally pray at night for large breasts....well, I got them, at the age of 18. I was a D cup by the time I was 21. I look back now at pictures and I probably got those big breasts because I got FAT. Well, I found the gym when I turned 23, so as you guessed it, I lost my breasts. I joined the military when I was 18 and have been in ever since (10 years already...WOW) and I have lived overseas for 7 of them (Japan, Korea, and now Italy). There was never a great time for me to get a breast augmentation surgery, so now that I am on my way back to America (Moving to California)....NOW IS MY TIME! :)

I want my 21 year old full amazingly shaped breasts back! I have done years of research, but for the past 3 months I have been searching for the right place/surgeon I want. Trying to do this from overseas makes it kind of difficult to choose the right surgeon, but I have faith I have picked the right one! I decided to have my surgery in Las Vegas with Dr. Micheal Edwards. No, I have not met with him yet, so I guess I could change my mind, but being in the military and moving, I only have so much time to get this surgery. I have been communicating with his office via email and Skype. I am scheduled to have my Pre-op appointment on 9 September and perform my surgery on 11 September if everything goes well.

This process has been kind of a headache...military wise. I know there are plenty of women in the military who are interested in getting breast augmentation, so ASK AWAY! I have been through it all (approval, lab work, etc.) I am in the Air Force, so I am unsure if the other branches do things differently. You have to get the procedure approved by TriCare, your Commander, and your Medical Group Commander. Since I am getting this surgery in between moving bases (Aviano to Beale) I had to get approval not just from all of my Aviano Commanders, but Beale's Commanders also. This took about a month, so start your process early. I am sure you are thinking, "How embarrassing that your supervision has to know you are getting breast augmentation", but I am the most OPEN person in the world. I do not care one bit that anyone knows I am getting them, but if you are a closed book, this process might suck for you. You could always not tell the military, but then you are risking getting in trouble and blah blah. If something happens during this procedure the Air Force will not pay for anything, but getting this approval "legalizes" things I guess you could say. Once I had my approval, I finalized my date of surgery with Dr. Edwards office.

I recently had to get Lab Work done (Just giving blood) before my surgery to give to Dr. Edwards. Luckily, the Air Force did these tests no problem...shocking. I figured they wouldn't do it for me and I was going to have to find some random clinic in Italy to do these tests for me! I am awaiting the word from Dr. Edwards to make sure all of my tests checked out okay. I work out 6 days a week and am on a very high protein diet and I noticed my paperwork said my levels were high on one test. So, I did some research and it says those levels can be higher than normal if I am on a high protein diet or dehydrated, which I probably was because I gave my blood right after the gym. Hopefully I can still get the surgery :)

Now, the important part, what I WANT! Since I have plenty of breast tissue (well, not enough or I wouldn't be getting this procedure) I am looking at Saline, above the muscle, and Inframammary incision. I want a DD cup and I haven't seen the surgeon yet, so I am unsure of the exact cc's I want. I am interested in the "fake" look of breast implants, but I know a lot of surgeons frown upon this. I do not care for the "real feel or look" so I would like to go with Saline. I know behind the muscle is the preferred method, but I also know I have a lot of breast tissue that can help with above the muscle. I also workout A LOT, especially being in the military, so I think above the muscle will be good for me. The Inframammary incision I feel is the best to position the breast implant and I know that Dr. Edwards mostly uses this. All of this can change when I see the doctor, I just would like to go in there with some idea.

I am getting soooooooo excited and anxious because the time for my surgery is approaching!!! I leave Italy soon, finally meet up with my boyfriend (been separated for 6 months), go on a fabulous cruise to the Caribbean, then off to Vegas for my new boobies!!!!

I will keep you guys updated on my journey! Anyone with tips before I go in for my big day, let me know!
