WORTH IT$29,500
I am a soon to be new patient and am coming in during the last week of November to have the all on 4 X 2. So far, things have been very good and everyone I've talked to has been quite helpful. I hope to come back after a successful surgery and placement of the new bridges like so many have before me and update my review positively. Only a couple of very minor glitches have occurred so far: 1) That after requesting a brief callback from the Dr to ask a few medical related questions via the very helpful General Manager Ken, I have not yet receive a call. I know the Dr. is a very busy man but I'd like a chance to speak to him before making the trip to Las Vegas. 2) I was told by GM Ken that he would be sending me confirmation in writing that they are going to honor the offered 5 year warranty on the product and services performed. I would most definitely like to receive that by email or US Mail as promised before traveling there to Las Vegas. As I said, these are relatively minor communication related glitches which, I'm sure will be taken care of, and I will happily report back on my next followup when they are taken care of. I look forward to talking with and meeting with Dr. Golpa and the great sounding staff soon!

Ooops.... Hit the wrong button. Lol
After haveng the procedure and been in the Vegas office this past week they are EXTREMELY busy. I kind of felt that the communication prior to surgery could have been better but I am glad that I continued with my journey. I do know that Dr. Golpa himself is not in the office a lot administratively. He seems to travel heavily between Dallas and LV office performing surgeries.
I had my procedure on Tuesda completed by Dr. T and also Dr. Anna. I felt like I was in great hands. From the day if my consult to the present day I have felt great about the communication.
I wouldn't worry a whole lot about receiving a call back from a doctor beforehand. Maybe speak with Amanda or Berlinda or another assistant and they can get the answers you need?

Nervous, Worried

I did get the written 5 year warranty, bit it was a copy with someone else's paperwork with their name at bottom marked "paid in full".
This plus the fact that they seem very unwilling to have the doctor call me to address my specific situation and concerns has me very worried and nervous.
I have a large abcess near my upper front teeth that may make it likely to require change in the positioning and number of implants. I really want/need to talk to the doctor about this but they tell me he is too busy. I also think that he may not be doing the surgery or at least parts of it himself
THIS SCARES ME A LOT.
Please, if you are reading this Dr. Golpa, it would help me a great deal if you could spare me just a few short minutes for a brief phone call. I am scheduled for both the preliminary appointment and the surgery a week from today, Wednesday, and it would be a tremendous load off of my mind if you would please call me at your earliest convenience. Your LV office has my number. I ve made my $5,000 deposit and am ready to make my remaining payment in full but I would really like to talk to you first.
If anyone has any tips or advice on this, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Sheldon, I totally understand your concerns and hesitation. But I can tell you with full confidence that you are in very good hands. Dr. Golpa performs some of the surgeries but not all. He does have other highly skilled doctors in his firm that also perform some surgeries. I myself just last week had Dr. T & Dr. Anna do my surgery. Of course for my own self calming I was hoping it would be Dr. Golpa but I put my trust in his firm. I know he is just ONE man and cant be everywhere at once.
Last Monday I flew out to LV and had my consult and then the very next day had my surgery. It really was a leap of faith but with all the research I had done prior I felt confident in his team. I can truly say to you whole-heartedly that I believe you too are in good hands and have already made the BEST decision in your life by choosing this to have this procedure done by Dr. Golpa and his team.
I had an abscess in my gums that I have been fighting for months in my upper right front gums. They also saw this during the consult and didn't fret. During surgery they removed and cleaned and scraped the infection out. Also during surgery the doctors made a professional choice and did all-on-5 instead of all-on-4, they also placed the implants and anchors where they saw fit. I was and am ok with all of this because I trust them because they know a whole lot more than me when it comes to this. lol :) Please take a look at my profile and my journey that I have documented. It may help ease some of the nervousness and anxiety. You are not alone in this journey and you have definitely picked the right doctor and the best community here on this site to join.
Please feel free to reach out to me privately or if you prefer to speak over the phone , I am more than happy to speak with you just let me know. :)

Thank you very much for your fast reply. It does help. It is quite likely that the very same thing will happen with me regarding the extra implant, etc. So, tell me, did they determine the need for the change on Monday after the scan? Part of my concern is that my scan, etc, is scheduled for the same day as the surgery, so it's bang bang with no time in between. The other is that I was sent a guarantee paper with someone else's information on it. Did you know that if you don't say anything to them, their standard warranty is now only 2 years vs the 5 years with the previous material/product?
More importantly, how exactly did the sedation and surgery happen and go and how did you feel during the procedure like gaving your teeth removed and immediately afterward and the next day after your new teeth were put in? Did they make many adjustments to get them to feel right for you?
You are very brave and I am very happy that things turned out so well for you. I am hoping for the same for me.
I really appreciate this very much.

The determination of the extra implant was actually made during surgery. I had no idea until I woke up with 5 implants instead of 4. HAHAHA but they also said "so you will will notice there are 5 instead of 4...." and then let me know that it was because they felt I needed the extra support because of the placement and because my bone was a bit softer than they anticipated. I trust that they made the right decision on my behalf.
As far as the warranty goes, I am not too worried about it. I have spoke to many, many many patients. Every single one has repeated how this firm stands by their work. Whether it is with in a given warranty period or not. I dont think they emphasize on that and more so are just want you to be happy with your new teeth. While I was in the waiting room for my consult, iI met a man who had the procedure done over 5 years ago. he said he has been thrilled with them and he couldnt be happier. He was in for his normal check up and because technology has advanced new and material is being used since his original set was made. He was there that day because the office had made him a brand new set of bridges at no cost because they wanted to make sure he had the best. Thank to me was awesome. I have heard that they have done new sets at no charge on other occasions too. They stand by their work and I feel if I should have issues in the future I am confident they will fix whatever the issue is.
Sedation was fine and no biggie. I am going to copy and paste something I wrote to someone else on here bc it sums it u.... honestly it wasn't bad at all. I do not recall any pain at all. I have a few memories but nothing bad. Pretty funny actually. I do remember the Dr yelling at me at one point because I kept dropping my leg of of the chair and swinging it in the air. Lol my restless leg syndrome was kicking in. I vaguely remember telling me 2x because he said I was causing my whole body to shake. Hahaha I also remember my hands being tied down. I had wiggled my right one loose and went to undo my left but the assistant told me not to do that. Hahaha One of the other funny things was I told them the oxygen was getting thick and it was making me panic a bit. The assistant said that it was the nitrous oxide. So I whipped out my phone and started playing candy crush to calm my nerves. Dr Anna walked in at some point and was like "is she seriously playing on her phone.... She should be asleep! Hahahha i definitely have a few of memories of it but I don't remember any pain or anything bad at all. After I woke up I felt fine. A little loopy but nothing crazy. Apparently I texted a few people during that time and dont recall it so maybe keep your cell far away from you until the next day! :) hahahha
When I woke up I had no pain or discomfort. I didnt have any need for any pain meds. I slept well and I made sure I stayed elevated. I iced a lot that night. I also applied Arnica gel to my face immediately after getting back to the hotel and taking my arnica pellets. I had brought along a black pillow case and a dark towel from home. So I wrapped my pillow up with the towel and covered it with the pillow case. (I didn't want to bleed on the hotel pillow.)
The next day I woke up and felt fine. Again no pain or discomfort. I continued to ice frequently. And we just waited patiently all day for the call to come in and get my bridges. It was such a long wait bc I was so excited. I finally went to pick them up at 5:30pm the day after surgery. While there they made sure everything felt ok and made little adjustments that I was requesting based on how they felt and looked. After I was happy and they were too we left and went back to the hotel. That night my husband and I went to dinner and I had breakfast foods (my favorite) (eggs, potatoes, sausage etc) and I ate with no issues.
Keep the questions coming :) I am here to help! I was in your shoes just over a week ago and the community members on here where so awesome to help calm my nerves, it feels good to do the same for someone else!

Gosh that would make me change my mind in a instant. It sounded like you have given him plenty of time to give you a quick call.
Your concerns are more than reasonable. That would just communicate to me that he is all about the money and not me.
My opinion I know doesn't have to be yours but your justified in being concerned.

Hi all,
I am now at 4 days post op. I was just wondering when things might start to get back to "normal", if you know what I mean
My current situation: The bridges still feel extremely tight on my gums, and I still cannot feel most of my face, especially my jaw and chin areas. I just got back home in AZ, and would like to get an idea when things might get back to somewhat near normal. Eating is still quite challenging, to say the least, and the stitches and especially the implants are easily tweaked into hurting. Biting my cheek and lip is pretty common, too, while trying to eat, etc
I'd say the biggest annoyance is the bear trap like tightness still going on 24/7, which is likely due to the continuing swelling.
Anything you folks could relay as far as timing goes would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Sheldon! The tightness lasted about about a week in my opinion. Still would pop up a bit when I swelled a bit. So make sure you keep icing and taking ibuprofen. I continued to bite my tongue for about a week and a half. Since I kept biting it it caused my tongue to swell a bit.
They say the numbness especially in the chin can last up to a month. It is such a odd sensation. Lol

I just read your whole bio and i'm hoping yesterday and today has gone well for you. I had this procedure done at Dr Golpa's Dallas office in August and I have been extremely happy with that office. they will go above and beyond in making you happy. If there is something you don't like just let them know. looking forward to your next update!!

April 9, 2019
I had the same thing happen! They will take care of it. The numbnesd goes away with time and so does the tightness. Best thing i ever did.
May I ask if/how many teeth will be removed? We are having the same procedure: mine is Dec 7. I am having 28 teeth removed, so am a bit nervous about the extent of my swelling, etc.
One great thing: we both get to have a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner! I may ignore tradition and have a last steak pre-procedure. Or maybe prime rib. . . .
20 to be removed plus some remaining roots. Scary stuff.
