No BS success - grateful for the support and accountability

Dr Merriman has assembled a powerhouse of no bs support and care for bariatric patients. Kat keeps me mindful of my band and Lisa keeps me mindful of my plate and all the ways we try to sneak around healthy habits and choices for a successful lap band weight loss experience. I need these people on my team for support and accountability. We’ve all been lied to by the diet and food industry and we’ve all been lying to ourselves for years about our addictions and challenges. I am grateful for the support, encouragement, and - let’s face it - the occasional butt-kicking I get (and need) from a skilled team who genuinely cares about my health, my weight, and my relationship to food. Combined with a healthy dose of therapeutic work to tackle the mind-side of food addiction and feelings-feeding, working together with these amazing clinicians has me hopeful and prepared for successful weight management. I’m smitten!
