Thanks again Dr Murphy for giving me a gorgeous smile! Absolutely life changing! He is truly the best! It’s a tough surgery but the results are out of this world once you’re fully healed! I can’t stop smiling and my confidence has gone through the roof!

Still loving my results! 4 years has gone by! My teeth have never looked better. I look back at photos and I still can’t believe the difference. If you’re considering the surgery don’t think on it too long just do it! Dr. Murphy has changed my life :)

I wish my surgeon was experienced like yours seems to have been. It has been 4 years since I had upper jaw surgery to correct an open-bite and I still have approx 4cm cant and was confirmed last month by the 2nd surgeon that I need to have a 3rd revision surgery. I kinda' feel now after going on several consultations that the 2nd surgeon should have redone the misaligned lefort-1 3-piece fracture I had instead of just rotating the misaligned slanted upper jaw with a lefort-1 1-piece an complicating my situation more by putting a 3D plate over the misaligned parts.

You do look amazing and I am so relieved to see someone who has had this successfully done as it does give me hope in my current bleak situation. Choice of surgeon is very important, and your choice was excellent!

It’s been 3 years since I’ve completed my orthodontic treatment to include jaw surgery. I love my results!!! Dr. Murphy is the truth! I continue to get compliments daily and some folks who know what I looked like before still can’t believe the change. Major confidence booster for sure

Dear wgandrews,

Glad you are content with the result. Orthognathic surgery is serious surgery. Some say shortly after surgery, they feel as though fire ants are biting at their chin area and there is some temporary nerve damage in the mouth area. In the old days, after surgery, wires were used to keep the jaw shut and allow the jaw bone to heal. However, now rubber bands are used so there is some slight movements of the jaw so the jaw bones can settle in more naturally. So was wires or rubber bands used after surgery?

So, your doctor is in York, PA, huh? Many Amish people are there - interesting part of the world. I enjoy going down there once in a while.
