This is one year post surgery and after two years of wearing braces. I had an anterior open bite from thumb sucking as a young child. Thank you Dr. Murphy for changing my life! He did a fine job with making me feel comfortable prior to the surgery and followed up with me throughout the recovery process. He is truly a brilliant surgeon!

You had a very favorable outcome and your surgery seems to have gone very well. Do you by chance want to post any before and after pictures? I know it took me a while to work up to doing that.

This is a before photo of what my teeth looked like prior to surgery. My open bite was very noticeable and impacted my confidence. It caused me to have a lisp and impacted the way I chewed food. I definitely notice the difference and I am very happy with my results. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments!!!!!!!!!!!

I also had an anterior open bite so I do know what functional obstacles you lived with. I do like your smile before and after especially since your personality shines through on both. Your surgeon seems to have been experienced with this kind of jaw deformity and I agree did billiant work. Very nice wgandrews!!
