Still loving my results! 4 years has gone by! My teeth have never looked better. I look back at photos and I still can’t believe the difference. If you’re considering the surgery don’t think on it too long just do it! Dr. Murphy has changed my life :)

Dear wgandrews,
Glad you are content with the result. Orthognathic surgery is serious surgery. Some say shortly after surgery, they feel as though fire ants are biting at their chin area and there is some temporary nerve damage in the mouth area. In the old days, after surgery, wires were used to keep the jaw shut and allow the jaw bone to heal. However, now rubber bands are used so there is some slight movements of the jaw so the jaw bones can settle in more naturally. So was wires or rubber bands used after surgery?
So, your doctor is in York, PA, huh? Many Amish people are there - interesting part of the world. I enjoy going down there once in a while.

You do look amazing and I am so relieved to see someone who has had this successfully done as it does give me hope in my current bleak situation. Choice of surgeon is very important, and your choice was excellent!
