As a general dentist, I've consulted with many oral surgeons on various cases over the years and Dr. Murphy has proven to be the most talented OMFS I've had the pleasure to work with and numerous patients and fellow dental providers have returned to our practice and rave about his gifted hands and warm bedside manner. That's why when it came time to invest in improving my own quality of life recently to have my retrognathic mandible, severely deviated septum, mouth breathing, and chronic snoring addressed, he's who I entrusted to provide outstanding care, and he absolutely delivered incredible results in just one surgery! At the first pre-op appointment, he was great at explaining the entire process, answered every question, and was very responsive in between appointments when I had additional questions. Through a clinical exam and radiographs he identified that I had a severely deviated septum which I didn't even know I had at the time and he offered to address it, along with improving my jawline together in just one surgery. He listened to my concerns and gave my wife and I various treatment options with simulated photos and it led to the exact result I was hoping for: -I have a chin I absolutely love, I have much more self-confidence and don't have to strain to keep my lips closed like I used to (my wife loves my more defined jaw too!). -The night after surgery my snoring ended permanently thanks to Dr. Murphy having advanced my tongue forward slightly (and not snoring - my wife definitely loves that, another bonus!). -I'm also able to breathe fully and deeply through my nose for the first time in my life and my strength of smell is remarkably improved as well. In the hours and days after surgery it was clearly evident how much he cares about his patients, as he reached out regularly to check on healing and continued to respond quickly to any questions or concerns I had post-operatively. It's now been a month since my surgery and the results look beautiful and natural, and the functional improvements have had a huge impact on my quality of life. I'm actually kicking myself for not going to him years ago. Great job Dr. Murphy! I first started seeing Dr. Murphy in the summer of 2016 to have a spot removed from my lower lip. As a previous Malignant Melanoma patient I was encourage to have it removed and checked. Dr. Murphy was very patient with me as I was extremely concerned of cutting into my lip and the potential of scaring. He assured me that he would do his best to minimize the incision and that scaring if any would be minimal. He was correct! Everything came back fine and my lip healed perfectly. I then continued to see Dr. Murphy for BOTOX to alleviate migraines as well as for esthetic purposes. I have been 100% migraine free since and my smooth face looks great! He made each and every appointment enjoyable and always followed up to ensure everything turned out well. His professionalism and genuine concern for the patient is more than I have ever experienced.

Exceptional surgeon with a matching personality. From the first office visit to the last follow up a year and a half later, Doc Murphy treated me with respect, and showed a genuine care for my well being. My surgery was complicated and extensive, in that my upper and lower jaw were both advanced 10 mm with a genioplasty advancement. This was a major undertaking and Doc Murphy maintained a confidence about the procedure that helped put my wife and I at ease. Recovery was over the course of months and he was always very forthcoming with the status and did a great job of explaining what he saw and what to expect next. A consummate professional that I would recommend to any family member or friend.

Dr. Murphy's level of expertise and professionalism is phenomenal! I suffered from an open bite since the age of nine and it's always been a hindrance to my self-esteem. I had an extremely tough time chewing and speaking properly.I couldn't properly bite down on my food because of the open bite and I also developed a noticeable lisp which caused me to avoid public speaking. I began my orthodontic treatment with Dr. Murphy in July 2016 and I remember feeling very nervous about jaw surgery. Thanks to Dr. Murphy's kind demeanor and strong level of competency, I was able to overcome my fears. He did an excellent job on explaining the surgical procedure through visual aids and consistent patience. The day after my surgery, he visited me in the post-op room, and reassured me that I was going to be ok. This meant the world to me because I was feeling awful after going through eight hours worth of surgery! Now I'm 3 months post-op and I love my results!!! I look and feel gorgeous thanks to Dr. Murphy! He is truly a miracle worker because my open bite was pretty huge. Dr. Murphy is very talented and I highly recommend him without any reservations.

My experience with Dr Murphy was an amazing one! Meeting with Dr Murphy was one of the best decisions I have ever made in regards to my healthcare. I came to his office in regards to aligning my jaw so that following my braces care plan wouldn’t mess up all the work the braces had done. When we met, he laid out several options for me and as a team we chose which one would be the best for me.
