Hi Everyone!
Thanks for reading my story. Since I was 22 years old I had been on every diet known to mankind. I made the decision in 2001 to have a gastric bypass. I was at an all time highest weight of 285 and gaining at least 10lbs a year. I am 5'4 inches tall and very curvy.
I am now almost 48 yrs old. I lost 135 lbs my first yearish and for anyone that said it was easy, they have never had a gastric bypass.
I gained about 30lbs back and since have stabilized at my current .weight.
Since 1992 I have had a breast reduction, a tummy tuck then got prego with my 3 rd child. Then I had my gastric in 2001, lost my weight and my boobs lol So then I had a breast augmentation in 2002
. In 2005 I had an arm lift, twice because they didn't take enough off... 2011 I had another tummy tuck and my thighs lipo.
The liposuction on my thighs left a ton of sagging skin... Not a good choice.... So I have decided to get a thigh lift and my scar revised on the left side of my TT. I am scheduled for pre-op on this Friday dec. 13th. My surgery day is December 17,2013!
Out of all my surgeries I am most nervous about this one.... As it is my legs! I'm sure it will go fine like all the others did, but still a bit nervous.
I am having my surgery done at the Avalon Clinic in Lakewood wa.
I have had all my surgeries there except 3.
I will post some pictures and keep everyone updated.
I love reading the comments on here and seeing how everyone is doing. ; )

Keep your chin up and you will be just fine. I've had to have revisions to plastic surgery and am having my arms done again and a tummy tuck. I had all of this done in 2009 after having been told my entire life that I couldn't get pregnant. So became pregnant only months post op. Dr. Sacha Obaid is redoing my TT and arms. Think how great your going to look and feel. Thanks for sharing and good luck !!

Hi Lorabell, Its nice to meet you. I am super excited to finish my last major surgery lol I think..... I say I think because I am not sure if I should get a few other scars revised or just be happy with it... I don't know why they wouldn't do your thighs... My thighs were very full before my lipo 2 years ago. I didn't have a lot of outside fat.. but I had a ton in the inside of my thighs. I then had the lipo instead of the thigh lift and now as you can see my thighs have a large amount of loose skin and cellulite. I am reposting different pics tonight after work so you can see better. I wish you luck tomorrow with your consult. Keep us posted. Its great to have a website to meet and talk to like minded people that know what you have gone through. Congrats on the 166lb weight loss!! Have you gained any back at all? I got down to a size 5 and that was really thin looking for me. I like being a bit more thick verses looking like a stick with boobs lmao!!

I haven't gained any back at all! Its been two yrs. That would be my next step boob job! I don't want to be thin just fit and I am active hiker! But my thighs gives me problems! I am doing this for medical reasons. I think my insurance compnay paid for my tummy tuck cause I didn't have gastric bypass and I did it on my own! Anyhow I wish u luck!

Your lucky to have your insurance pay! Before my weight loss I had some of the same issues with the rubbing and sores.. It sucks. : / Its great that your keeping it all off! That is awesome! Continued success to you and good luck tomorrow!

Hi there - good reading your story. I'll be having a posterior body lift and a medial thigh lift in Feb. so I will be very interested in following your story. I'm more nervous about the thigh surgery than any other surgery I've had, too. I'll just be having the groin incision for the inner part. Are you having the same kind of incision or will yours run down the inner thighs toward the knees? Anyway, I'm glad you're posting - this thigh lift and lower body lift forum area is pretty barren compared to the breast augmentation side. lol Best of luck to you!

Hello Redwinelover!! Thanks for reading the short version of my long story...lol I love this website and so glad we can all be here for each other. This Friday is my Post Op and my surgeon is bringing in his partner dr. Eckland to discuss if they will be going all the way down my leg.... My surgeon doesn't think we will have too. He wants to go in my groin and partially down my inner thighs. I'm not sure if I'm relieved or concerned that if he doesn't go all the way down, that I may not get the results I envision .. So Friday we will discuss this and I will decide then lol The other thing he is fixing is my tummy tuck scar on my left side. It is raised, red and hurts after two years and I have a dog ear on that side that I hate. So hopefully that turns out ok. The very first tummy tuck I had in the 90's scarred way better then this one. I'm not sure if it's his stitching or my age, but I would like it to look better. Your picture you have posted looks great! Do you have other pics of what your fixing ? Yeah I bet the augmentation side is full. That's a very popular surgery. I was big busted all my life. Then in the 90s got a breast reduction . I liked it till I lost 135 lbs and then I wanted them back lol Pretty happy with my chest. But my legs have bothered me since childhood. Lol now I'm just wondering if I've just lost my mind and should just live with them.

Hi Beach girl - I so know the feeling you have there - wondering if you've lost your mind and just live with the legs. I waiver on this, too. I mean, if I knew without a doubt that following surgery I'd be comfortable wearing shorts or a bathing suit in public, I'd have no qualms at all. I look 'fine' in my clothing, so my goal is to try to look better 'naked'. So I question whether that will really be the case? Will my thighs and ass really not be gross and lumpy and saggy? hahaha... I mean, for all the expense, pain, time, hassle, etc. - I sure HOPE so! As for your scar not being as good as the one in the 90's... idk, it really could have been his stitching. My scar, itself, is faint, thin and white. But I have a sort of pinkish, purplish coloring on either side of it. I don't know if that's just how I heal or from abrasion in the area (low rise jean fanatic) and maybe didn't let it heal long enough before wearing them again? I just don't know. My breasts don't seem to have that coloration - but then, skin differs on all of our body parts, so it's hard to say. Anyway, that's one of the reasons I didn't want to have the incision running down my inner thighs - a white line wouldn't be all that noticeable, but with the pretty colors on either side, it probably would be. Well, that, and of the four or so consults I had, not one suggested it. But then, I didn't lose a massive amount of weight - just enough to leave me with icky skin issues. Oh, yeah - got off track here...lol... I wanted to say I don't think age played a big roll, I'm older than you are. Thanks for the compliment, too! I am still dealing with those pesky 8 lbs I put on over the last couple of months, so I should look at that photo more for inspiration - I really liked my waist definition there. Anyway - originally I was going to post pre and post op photos, then while doing an internet search on something, I came across a few of the women's photos from this site on a Google image search. Just for the heck of it, I Googled something using my own wording from an entry I'd made and sure enough - it comes up. I read all the terms on this site and it's all there - you can't remove photos once posted and they are public domain so they're always there. I guess there's no getting around that - that's probably the case for any type of public forum like this. And even though we are "anonymous", and a lot of us even block out our faces... idk... just seems pretty invasive. I wouldn't even let my surgeon use my photos for his website (yeah, he was proud of his results! lol.. I could have been the Strattice 'poster girl' for his site, I think). After I saw some of these women's photos like that, I've decided against posting them here. It kind of sucks and I know the photos others have posted have been an enormous help - I just don't feel comfortable with it now.

Hello Redwinelover! I am not to worried about being googled lol it's not like I'm on a [RS bleep] site or anything lol But I totally understand your concerns. I'm kinda having freak out moment right now, I really don't want a crappy looking scar on my legs. So if it is his stitching then we have a problem Houston !! It's not like horrible but it really doesn't look even close to as thin as my last one..... There will be two surgeons doing my surgery so I'm excited about that . Tomorrow is my pre op and I have a butt load of questions for them both lmao so I hope they are ready!!!

So today my nerves kicked into full gear. I'm sure having to rush and get my Xmas situated and everything organized,
has not helped the stress level. But happy to say by Sunday, I should have everything done and be able to chill the night before my surgery.
So something that just cracks me up: People ask if I am nervous or scared about the pain ect......
I tell them, the thing I am most scared of is..... the IV!!!!!!
I actually have the shakes and almost pass out while they are doing it lmao. Ridiculous huh?
I can watch any surgery, look at my wounds and all that,
but put a needle by me and OMG not going to see a brave girl here : /
So that is my biggest fear to be honest.
I'm trying not to second guess my decision to do my thighs as I have wanted them done for over a decade. But even with all the research and questions and knowledge I have....I'm still hoping I am making a good decision . I know logically I can't exercise loose skin away and that this is the only way......
But then I read the good and the bad reviews, stories and see pictures and it can make a girl think twice about cutting her thighs open.
So tomorrow I will ask a zillion more questions and make sure this is the right decision for me .... I'm pretty sure it is,
but going to be extra sure on this one.
