You are lookin so amazing girl! You let me know it's all worth it! I was having a pity party wondering if I made the right decision getting my TT but I've since pulled myself out of my hole and I'm learning to embrace my new tummy. Patience right!?

Thanks Luv2Mommy!! It is worth it!! We all go through the same feelings of WTF did I do this for ... Think of it like being prego and giving birth ... It hurts like hell till you see the new baby... Then you forget all about the pain. Your PS is your baby and as soon as hell swell goes down you will be over joyed!!!

HCG is the hormone we release when we are pregnant. You can do drops or injections. It helps you retain muscle mass while loosing weight and inches. This is combined with a clean eating plan. Several women on this site have lost over 100lbs with HCG. You can look it up on YouTube or internet. HCG Chica is a good one to follow on YouTube. Dont be dieting till after you are healed missy! If you didn't measure you can tell by your clothes. My husband's down almost 8 lbs in 8 days!

Today I stumbled across your blog when I was searching for thigh lift stories ! I meet with my surgeon today ( I'm wanting to do breast , tummy and thighs ) and your blog is exactly how I am feeling. I wanted to try the lipo on my thighs and if I'm not happy with it do the lift at a later time . After reading your I'm thinking I should skip the lipo and just do the lift. But I want to do all 3 of mine at the same time as I don't want to keep taking off work to make myself more comfortable. I'm questioning if doing all three would be over doing it. When did you go back to work ? Was it after 2 weeks ? Was that too soon or you felt good about getting out just tired ? I thank you for sharing! :)

Hi Lissa33 Welcome to RealSelf !! Well I have had all the above done as you have read. Me personally, would not do all of those together. But with that said it also would depend on several factors. I would do breasts and tummy first, together if u can. Thighs were very different from my other surgeries. I was never going to do them even though they had bothered me for years. I am glad now that I did, but the recovery was painful and slow. I am a Nanny and I went back to work after 3 weeks. I won't lie it was not easy and I was exhausted every night. There is absolutely no way you would be able to do all 3 surgeries and go back to work in two weeks..and if anyone tells you that they just want your money!! Some doctors prefer to lipo first and then do the thigh lift in a separate surgery. It really depends on how big your thighs are and the surgeon. You can post a pic on here and ask the doctors on here. I know people on here that had a LBL lipo and an arm lift all at the same time and they will tell you that it's challenging and recovery needs to be taken seriously and not rushed. My other friend just had an LBL and a thigh lift and she will tell you that it is not for the faint of heart. If I could do it over again and did not get the hematoma I would say take 4 weeks off and pamper yourself. 3 weeks was soon to go back. By 6 weeks I was feeling pretty good. But like I said thighs are slow healing...... Hope this helps! Lol
March 13, 2014
Yeah. He did say he would prefer to do lipo first but it seems like the hanging skin there bothers me now more less when you take more fat out :( he stated to do tummy and boobs take 2 weeks off he states I will be exhausted but that I will be ready to get out. I am a clinic nurse so no lifting or anything just computer and vital signs. I'm not going to lie I have always wanted different legs and want it done like yesterday so the thought of doing my first 2 surgeries and going back for my thighs makes me sad. I appreciate your honesty and the pain aspect scares me to death. You ask anyone and it's terrible pain !! Ugh

Two weeks off would be difficult.... Maybe go back half days to start. I don't know if I'd say the pain is worse then my TT it's just that it's your thighs/legs and we use them to do everything. So it's more of where it is verses one more painful then the other. TT was no picnic either lol So final advice would be if you are going to do it ALL in one take 6 to 8 weeks off.... Standing all day at 3-6 weeks is hard!! Good luck to you ! You should post pics and let's see what your dealing with. Getting lipo is going to make skin looser, it's just step one in a two step process. Some just do it all at once... But it's surgeons call pretty much..
March 14, 2014
Agreed! I have had 5 procedures done face and neck and eyes at one, lipo at another, breast aug and then revision due to an issue and a posterior body lift a week and a half ago. I am a very energetic 59 yr old career woman ( and grandmother!) and work out constantly and I will tell you the pal was the most painful and challenging with face a close second. If you are very young and fit you might be ok.

Sorry meant post body lift!not pal!

10 WEEKS POST AND STILL HEALING

User Avatar

Ok so believe it or not I found another stitch that was buried in my upper left thigh. I was bummed cuz I had this raised scar at top of my inner left thigh. PS said it would go down eventually..... So a week or so later I took a pic on cell phone.
Omg it was a stitch about 2.5 inches long . When we shined a light on it you could see it under the skin....
So Dr.Jesse to the rescue (hubby)
A little tug and out it came.
Other then that been working out and eating clean.
Loosing weight and inches. Will have measurements on Sunday.
I still have gathering on my right thigh and scar is a little hard still.
Continuing to us scar treatment .
Looking forward to my TT revision and a LBL and BBL.
Going to loose the weight first and see how my skin holds up as I loose the weight.
We're going to Mexico mid May so working hard to drop 30lbs.

Thanks Jules! I see a difference but was hoping for a bigger change in my knees. I think they should of brought the incision down. But overall I do see some improvement m Yeah unfortunately I do have at least 30lbs. I gain weight pretty evenly lol so rarely Look my weight. But I really feel better when I way a bit less.

Fab fab fab! Your scars are impressive too! I keep arguing with myself as to whether I need my legs and arms lifted... I have my pre op pics now so really needs to do a comparison... Looking at your results tempt me! You really don't look like you need to lose 30lbs at all! Xx

PelsTT thank you your to kind! Lol I actually weigh 182.3 today. I have lost 2.4 lbs and 11.5 inches since I started eating clean 7 days ago!!! The thigh lift is worth it, but it's really a long recovery. Harder then I imagined for sure. But I am glad I did it. I'd love an LBL and TT revision to finish my journey : )

Chica-since we talk so much I don't know if I commented here or not. I hope you DO know what an awesome result you've had. I am surprised at the degree of correction you've had with "just" a medial thigh lift. One of the benefits of the long incision, apparently. I think it's great you want to reach a weight you're comfortable with before proceeding. You do have great skin elasticity for a post massive weight loss woman. You never know! I miss you, my Chica!
