You can't tell anything was done down there and it looks so much better!

I did actually end up getting the outter labia down with the same doctor about 6 months later to tighten my outter lips a little bit more after taking so much of the inner labia off. During this surgery I felt a lot more tense and I did the first one, need more numbing medicine towards the end with it wearing off some, but I think I just burned through it very quickly from nerves.... I was nervous, just as much as the first procedure with her, but I think being awake for any procedure like this you can't help but be tense and nervous even if you are in great hands and know what to expect. (low key wish she offered you to get put under to just help with the nerves of being awake and hearing the cutting tools and hearing other things too lol).

The healing process was not as bad this go around though (and by not as bad, I only mean I was not swollen everywhere like I was with the inner labia, which was crazy big the first two weeks. This go around I was just a little puffy and tender as would be expected). The stitches were so much more itchy this time though, which was beyond annoying but not a huge deal, just awful being in the grocery store and having a crazy itch you can't get to lol...

I would like to add from my first post back in 2019, the only real soreness I had was sitting down...once I was sat in my chair or on the sofa however I forgot I even got anything done, its just the initial sit down from being swollen and extra sensitive for a week or two. I was able to walk around my home easily and be able to do most normal stuff besides working out (advised by doctor to not do any working our or medium to heavy walking for the first 4 weeks before being cleared for everything after 6 weeks) within 24 hours for both procedures, which if you do your research you see many women say they could barely walk and were in so much pain the first week or even longer. Not with Dr Poucher, 24 to 48 hours after the procedure, and you forget you got anything done until you go to the bathroom or stand or sit down because of the stretch to do so. She is amazing and makes everything look natural and is more conservative with taking bits off letting you know that if you want more taken off later, you are more then able to and can always do that, but makes it very you can't put it back if its more then what you thought it would. So less is better instead of doing way too much here. Revision is more than possible and does get done bit by bit if they want more taken off. (And when I say less is more, I do mean she does take more thAn enough off to make a dramatic change but doesn't take more then needed because she can, if that makes any sense? )

I know for sure if I do have kids and my outter lips or anything else down there gets saggy and off-putting, I will be coming back to her, even with my now living in NYC instead of LA now, I will take the flight out and schedule with her.

ORIGINAL POST

amazing!!!!!!!!!

I recently just turned 27 and ever since I was 16 years old, I had been self conscious about my inner labia and just how much there was and it just looked so wrinkling and edgy looking. Before I got my communications degree, I was a fully body waxer and waxed mainly Brazilians.... so I got to see A LOT of vaginas in my day, and by doing this I mentally knew that I was fine down there and looked normal, since 8 out 10 women have their inner labia sticks out (I call them outties)... however, even though seeing that a lot of women had outtie's, I still felt mine personally was ugly and wrinkly and choppy looking and just hated having anyone look down there or judge me. Even my co-workers who I would wax down there, I would always makes excuses when they would ask if I needed a wax in return, because I didn't want them to latch on to my fear and judge me like I felt they would.
I legit one night just got on here, and searched a couple doctors and found Dr Poucher... all her reviews on here looked great and the before and afters were realistic to me. So, on a whim I sent out an email not thinking I would actually do it.....because getting things removed down there just seemed way too crazy and scary to me to actual do it. But I herd back within two days of reaching out and with the quick response, I was like well maybe I should just meet in person and see where it goes from there. After that, we made an appointment for consult within two weeks of first contact. I went with my friend for moral support.
The office and exam rooms are beautiful and clean! The doctor made me feel so at ease and comfortable when she examined me. As soon as she was done, I knew I was going to do it. I felt like the rest of the visit was a daze as I signed paperwork and picked the date to get the procedure done....a good daze just cause I was so in shocked at how easy Dr Poucher made it seem like it was going to be! 10 years of mental and emotional torture I put on myself was just too long and I was done with it and so excited to get it done. I was advised to get the labiplasty (5,000) and hood reduction (3,000), so my total was 8k, but it was some of the best 8k i've ever spent!.
I quickly made the surgery date for August 29th. It last for about an hour and I just watched Netflix the whole time it was going on.... there was a few times where she had to numb me up a few more times, but I think that just cause even though I was relaxed as once can be in this type of situation when your bits are being cut off, I was still extremely tense and nervous. I think my things were flexed the whole hour and half just waiting for the worse pain ever to hit....it never did lol.
After the procedure, I wasn't really in any pain. The only thing was peeing was a little awkward cause I had to keep spraying water as I peed which is a bit awkward to do. Sleeping was easy, walking around wasn't bad even with being cautious. The worst part was just waiting for the stitches to dissolve, just cause by the 3rd week they were starting to itch a bit.
Its now been 4 months since my procedure and I am so happy with the results! You can't tell anything was done down there and it looks so much better! Everything is smooth looking and now I am mostly an all innie instead of an outtie! My actual outter labia lips bug me a bit now, they seem a bit deflated to me now, but not a huge issue where it's going to hold me (not everything on my body can be perfect lol) back seeing as the main issue was taken care of, everything is great! Now, I don't think I will mind having someone down there looking at me without fearing what's going through their head!

Congratulations on your results, they are very natural looking —I'm impressed! I'm so glad that you shared your story and photos, you're helping so many others considering this surgery. Which labiaplasty technique did your doctor perform?

I don't remember which technique she used... it might have been the wedge one I think its called. But it was fairly easy, the worst part was the nerves and waiting for the stitches to dissolve.... pain wasn't even an issue really! It was an amazing process!
Thank you for your review and information about this procedure! I feel the exact same way as you! I’m a nurse and have seen my fair share of vaginas and know that they are all different. But I’ve been very self conscious about my inner labia protruding quite a bit and now it’s causing discomfort as I exercise or wear certain panties. I’m debating if I should undergo a laboaplasty or not.
Honestly, one of the best decisions I made to do it! If you are in the southern CA area, I definitely suggest Dr Poucher. She is amazing and made this nerve-racking process so easy and calming! As I feel I look so natural down there that no one, unless I told them, would know I got it done! If you aren't in CA, I would suggest just finding someone near you through real self and look at all the before and afters pics and reviews! I chose this doctor because a) wasn't a bad review for the procedure I was looking in, and everyone commented and on little pain they were in after, and b) she's a women and gets exactly what bothers us and understands why it bothers us whereas a men is looking more just at the cosmetic side of things and not that inner labia can be uncomfortable as well and 'having to adjust' yourself....! Good luck!
Also I suggest if you get it, (at least this worked best for me) I didn't take pics of the healing process or the aftermath until like 4 or 5 weeks into it, cause it just caused a lot of uncertainty and anxiety looking at the swollen lips, both outer and inner. I was so conflicted for the first few weeks on if I should have done the clitoral hood reduction part because that was extremely swollen and just was not what I though it would look like.... but after 4-5 weeks in it started to look so much better and now I love it!
Thank you! Good information! I am not in California, unfortunately. But I have been working with a plastic surgeon who I trust 100% and gets rave reviews in my state.
Much better looking! Congrats on the surgery and the confidence it provides!
hey, that looks very nice now. congratulations
Did u have any kids?
No kids. My before is a normal and very common for women, I just did not like having large inna labia and it bugged me and was uncomfortable. Even if I di have kids, having kids does not change the amount of the inner labia you have, it may change your outter labia since that is actually skin that does lose elasticity, but the inner labia does not change because of children or weight gain.
