Pictures and update

I had my follow up appointment on 4/15/21. Dr. Clark, as usual, was polite, professional and warm. There was only 1 suture that needs to be removed (the others had dissolved by his time - 2 weeks post procedure).
Pain: the worst pain was as the anesthetic used for procedure was weaning off and I was waiting to get my prescription from the pharmacy. Eek! Felt like I needed to run away (talk about fight or flight reaction).
Once I got a dose of tramadol, I was fine until the next day. After that, I only took Advil 400mg. This also helped with swelling.
Clothing optional: I went for the most airy feel I could get- opted for no plants or panties when I was in bed... or loose running shorts when walking around the house.... and once I was able to go out I wore dresses with cotton panties.
Wound Care: I ordered wound cleaning spray from Amazon and got a box of gauzes and a tube of triple antibiotic. At the toilet I had a small container to pour water over the perineal area and the spray the cleanser and rinse. Pat dry, then apples small amount of triple antibiotic ... and I opted to place a gauze as a barrier between panties and wound areas. Not much drainage from the wounds so I did not use a pad (pad is also partially plastic which would prevent “airing” of the area)
Sitting, standing or laying:
Did not really sit for the first 3-5 days. If I did sit it was on the edge of a stool. I stood to eat, or walk around the house. Otherwise I was laying down.
How this helps someone! Go wit Dr. Clark!

Labiaplasty!

So happy I finally did this. I always felt uncomfortable with the way my vulva looked. Like a kitty with its tongue out! :p Sexual activity and even the wrong kind of underwear would make the area irritated if "things" were not tucked in the right way! Even worse, skin tears... Ugh! Thanks to RealSelf, I found a local surgeon who is not only board-certified but has a lot of experience with minor issues like mine and way beyond my needs. What impressed me the most was his bedside manner. Wow. What a professional. The surgery date was 3/31/2021 and today is 4/2/2021 (the app does not let me select the correct procedure date). Healing is well underway! I will update as I continue to heal!
