In early recovery for labiaplasty & anal skin tag removal, pain is very bearable
Labiaplasty and Anal Skin Tag Removal
I had a labiaplasty and anal skin tag removal with Dr. Wesley Anne Brady. I am still in early recovery and have only taken ibuprofen for pain because it is very bearable. Karen helped my set up the consultation and she was very informative and kind over the phone. On surgery day, I walked in (the new office is very nicely decorated) and the front staff was very kind. I then went over some papers with the nurse. Nurse Jennifer was very informative and personable and I felt no judgement from her whatsoever. I then went into the surgery room and got numbing cream put on. I decided not to take the recommended halcion because I have pretty bad medicine anxiety and can’t swallow a pill. The local injection for the skin tag was the worst part of the procedure. It was quite painful to where I kept shaking and moving around. Dr. Brady started the skin tag removal quickly and finished fast which I was very grateful for. They then gave me a drug called Dsuvia I believe because it can be put under the tongue to dissolve. I do wish I would have been more informed on how strong this drug is. I felt extremely dizzy, nauseous, shaky, tired, and weak for the next 9 hours. Dr. Brady told me the drug would affect me more since I am a smaller person. I messaged Dr. Brady after hours for advice and she responded within minutes. I appreciate the comfort and attentiveness from Dr. Brady and her staff. I felt confident in choosing Dr. Brady based off of all of the positive reviews, before and after photos, and her great experience and education. Even though the side effects from the Dsuvia were pretty severe, I do not regret the procedures. Overall I do recommend Dr. Brady and felt very comfortable with the all female staff. My advice if you are looking to get a labiaplasty is to do great research on your surgeon ( Dr. Brady is personally the best I have found) and look deep within yourself and make sure you are doing this for YOU and not to satisfy others. Your body is perfect the way it was made. God doesn’t make mistakes. But if this is something that genuinely bothers you often and you feel as tho getting some tissue removed will improve the quality of your life. Go for it.
