I'm already so happy with the whole process
I had always felt extremely self conscious about my labia. It wasn't to the point where it hurt exercising, but there was always that irritation and it was scary having a new partner for fear of their reaction. I decided in late September to look into the cost and procedure. Dr. Allan was the first that came up in Google so I booked a consult. It was quick and Melissa assured me it was super easy and I'd be back at work on Monday if I had it on a Friday. I booked in for a Friday. I was extremely anxious leading up to it. Mostly about the pain, not about the result. I figured nothing could be worse than what my existing situation was. I talked to Melissa on the phone and she again reassured me that it was so simple and I'd be fine by Monday. I prepared by freezing ice balloons, getting groceries for a week, purchased every size pad and pain reliever (all of which was completely unnecessary).
The day of: I arrived at the clinic and was greeted by the nicest nurse I have ever met. She prepped me for surgery and did a great job on the numbing cream and gave me a warm blanket. I sat for about 45 minutes and Dr Allan and another nurse had come by to say hello. Again, making me feel so comfortable and taken care of. We went into the procedure room and I was set up and given a warm blanket again. The freezing started and I didn't feel a thing. Not even a pinch. Dr Allan walked through the steps as he did them. Nothing about it was uncomfortable and I think I was in and out in about 30 min. I then went home, took a pain pill for just the first day every 4 hours and one in the middle of the night. I awoke Saturday in no pain, even after 8 hours without pain meds. I took a few extra strength Tylenol for good measure but didn't need any more prescription meds.
Sunday - I'd say I was 75% back to normal! I even drove to the store. Monday I went back to work and wore full back underwear with pantyhose!
I took arnica pills for the two weeks leading up to surgery which may have lessened the bruising, but I have absolutely no bruising on day 4 (Monday). I'm walking completely normal. There's moments where I'll move quickly or forget, but aside from that, there's no discomfort. I'm absolutely blown away by the lack of pain, as that caused me stress for the entire three weeks prior.
I'm only four days out, but I'm already so happy with the whole process. I know the results won't show until 6 weeks, but if I had known how simple this procedure was, I wish I would have knows about it years ago.
I will share pics as the weeks go on.
