Updated nipple repair POST OP, with my story behind doing

Ok as I mentioned before I would update my original post. During my pregnancy over a year ago My breasts had become engorged, so big that maybe the pressure plus i was always wearing tight sports bras, im guessing flattened my nipples a bit. Then after pregnancy, I couldn't get my baby to latch, so while breastfeeding using a pump, my nipples started changing becoming inverted probably from the suction cup. I'm guessing I was using them improperly because it was always uncomfortable during pumping. (You have to use the right nipple size, make sure your nipples are stimulated, etc, but I would just pump and move the cups around too much without stimulation and never had good suction, alot of air would mix, ultimately I guess I deformed them). Regardless once I stopped using the pump my left nipple eventually went back to normal, but my right did not. I could stimulate it to come out but it would eventually revert back in after few mins. So unless this was the cause of other underlying factors, which you should talk with your primary doctor, that some women who have never had inverted nipples and all of a sudden do that it can be due to cancer. Well mine was sudden as well, but i talked to my doctor and since my L reverted back to normal right after stopping the use of pump then it was most likely the culprit. So i waited til my baby turned 1 year and still the right nipple remained deformed in my eyes because I did not like it and I would feel unsexy! As it is My breasts had shrunk from full C's to smaller plus droopy, which I could handle, but the inverted one nipple I could not handle. So I'm glad I did the procedure. Here are some post op pics one week after.

Hi, thanks for sharing. I too had the procedure done 3 weeks ago. I was wondering how your recovery is going? I feel like I've been healing well but two days ago I started having some sharp pain on my left side. It is not extremely painful, it's just weird that it's been fine up until a couple of days ago. I am going to call the dr tomorrow, but thought I would ask...

Yes I had spurts of pain all around the aereola.. just the nerves sparking. Some slight throbbing on the rest of breasts as well, but just check with your Dr anyways. My recovery went good. Took 2 months for all my bruising to go away and stitches to dissolve..I bruise easily anyways. Plus my soreness probably would spark because i have a 1 year old that i pick up alot. Nipple looks good I'm happy.

Ok that makes me feel a little better. He said I could work out and I feel like it may be related. Its like a random poking feeling, weird. I'm glad you got good results. Its still a little early to tell on mine, I still have a lot of scabbing, but they protrude now! I had both sides done, but my left side was way more severe. He said it was "belly button like". My right side looks really good though....
