WORTH IT$12,000
I am a 5’6,125 pound, 33 year mother of two (ages 5 and 9) and had 400CC breast implants installed over 12 years ago. I was very happy with my procedure since prior to the surgery I literally had “A” cup breasts with no shape at all. Over the years my wonderful breasts started to stretch out to the sides. I breastfed both my children for about a year each and each time I did my breasts grew huge. However, this growth followed by a reduction after I was done breastfeeding. Breastfeeding for two years made my breasts looking not as full and the width of cleavage was enormous. Unless I wore a bra I had no cleavage at all. I hated wearing swimsuits also because of this gap. Anytime I lied down my breasts would fall back and to the sides. (See Before Pictures)
Now that I am done having kids it was time to do something about it. My husband and I decided that for this Christmas we would give the gift that keeps on giving throughout the year. BOOBS!! I knew that a simple exchange was simply not going to work. Although I was happy with my original procedure done in 2002 (Dr. Fisher in Yorba Linda) I wanted to find a doctor that had incredible experience in performing internal bra revisions. My husband is a Yelp nut and what better scouting project to put him on? I actually allowed him to surf the internet looking at boobs and doctors. After weeks of research, my husband told me about Dr. Pousti located in San Diego, CA. Dr. Pousti’s website was very clean and informative and he had an enormous amount of before and after pictures and also very descriptive details on the many procedure he performs. We decided to book a consultation and meet Dr. Pousti and his staff.
Dr. Pousti charges $100 for a consultation. Now I know many doctor’s charge nothing for a consultation and at first I was taken back a little, however the $100 bucks is well worth the visit even if you chose not to have your procedure done there. If you do go with Dr. Pousti the $100 is applied to your procedure. My husband and I arrived and were met by several of Dr. Pousti’s staff. All of these ladies are kind, courteous, professional and very personable. We spent the next hour taking measurements, going over goals, looking at wish boobs, poster boards, and then they have a very high end piece of imagery that takes 3D pictures of your body. After the photos you then can create your own wish boobs on your body in which Dr. Pousti can help you choose a procedure to match your virtual vector image. This process alone is well worth the $100 bucks. After the imaging we met with Dr. Pousti.
I am an ICU Registered Nurse and deal with many doctors who have various personalities. Some have great bedside manner and some quite honestly are like rainman. Brilliant in their head but lack social skills to deliver the best patient care. Dr. Pousti is a genuine human being with a beautiful family. Dr. Pousti cares about you and your goals. He is not pushy at all and you can tell immediately that he is a true professional. Dr. Pousti has a wealth of experience and background not only in plastic surgery but also emergency care and surgery. This diversity is what makes him in my mind one of the best surgeons if not doctor’s I have met. My husband and I spent over 45 minutes with Dr. Pousti. Dr. Pousti has seen my condition before and knew how to address it to meet my goals. Dr. Pousti told me that based upon my age, body type, and goals that there was a 90% success rate in the internal bra procedure with implant exchange. Most doctors would sugarcoat the success rate but Dr. Pousti is honest and transparent. Dr. Pousti also had a recent patient come in and discuss her experience one on one with me in private. This was a valuable in person testimonial. After trying on different sizes of implants we then were met with one of his staff member to talk about pricing. UGHHH.
My last breast augmentation cost around 6K. I knew the internal bra would be quite more so we were pretty prepared for the 12K price tag. I know some people probably have had this done at other surgeons who claim to know how to do an internal bra and do it for quite less. My husband and I wanted to go with an acclaimed surgeon who has done hundreds if not thousands of internal bra procedures. Also if you look at this way. Would you pay $1000 a year to have incredible boobs? I expect to have these for at least 12 years before an exchange (If needed). I also justify the cost based upon surgery time. A simple exchange may only take 45 minutes, however Dr. Pousti’s internal bra adds almost 2.5 hours with numerous internal stiches. After 2 hours of an incredible consultation we left Dr. Pousti’s office feeling very informed, excited, and eager to get this procedure done.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review your experience; it has been our pleasure taking care of you. Thank you also for the great detail and multiple photographs you have posted; this degree of detail will undoubtedly help other young ladies who are experiencing similar concerns with breast implant displacement.

Furthermore, I appreciate your compliance with postoperative care instructions; you have really been a good patient, despite your profession :)

Please thank your husband also for all of his involvement; I look forward to seeing you back in the office later this year and wish you both a healthy/happy 2017.

Hardly noticable. He used an aerole incision and it has blended back pretty good. Im sure with another month or two it will be invisible.

Surgery time!!!! 650CC High Profile Silicone

We pulled the trigger and decided to do it. It was a tough decision on what size to go with. I know many struggle on size. My advice is not to get caught up CC too much. The difference between 400CC and 500CC is less than 4 fluid ounces. That is two sips of water. Always go a size bigger. You will thank yourself for it in the long run. I am a happily married mother of two. I want to look good in a bathing suit but don't want to look like a [RS bleep] star even though my husband wouldn't mind. I want to look good at the gym but also be able to go for a run without feeling uncomfortable. I also have to lift patients and wear scrubs and look professional. When I first heard 600 CC to 700 CC I said "No way" After looking at before and after photos I let Dr. Pousti work his magic. I went with 650CC high profile silicone gel. We arrived at the Surgery center at 5:30 AM. Yes I said 5:30 AM and we live two hours away. Dr. Pousti does it once again by having a well trained professional staff. Everyone from the nurses, anesthesiologist, and med techs are very professional, informative, and helpful. I cannot honestly envision a better experience. Surgery was roughly 3 hours total. The last time I had breast surgery 12 years ago I woke up freezing, shaking, and nauseous. This time I woke in a bed with warming blankets and felt pretty decent and pain free ( Thank you anesthesiologist!). Well pics on the table and shortly after don't look the best but here you go. I also have many before pics. Once again. Thank you Dr. Pousti!!!! You are an amazing person and your talent is second to none.

First 2 Weeks after Surgery

The internal bra procedures places numerous stiches inside of the breast pockets. I took pain meds for 2 days an quit because the pain wasn't bad at all. Recovery from this procedure is uncomfortable but if you don't do what you are supposed you can tear the internal stiches and thus you wasted 12K. I had to wear a tight bra for almost 4 weeks that had built up support inside. My skin was a little sensitive to this but it wasn't unbearable. I had to sleep sitting up and keep my arms to my sides as much as possible. I took 6 weeks off work (Disability) because I have to lift patients and other lifting requirements and di not want to compromise my recovery. My good husband waited on me knowing that there was a prize at the end of this journey. I would describe the recovery as just being sore like after bench pressing when you haven't done it awhile. My results are amazing and I have some nice sports bras and swim suits. My cup was a 34C/D and now its about a 36DD or maybe a little higher. That sounds crazy but I still look classy in clothes.
