Today I revised my mini/full facelift. Today my surgery consisted of having liposuction done to both jowl areas left and right. Tightening to only the left side (do to my face being asymmetrical from my last facelift) Scar revision for a very bad scar with a lot of scar tissue behind my left ear where the anchor scar was.
I had a mini face/full lift with S scar and tightening of muscle done in October 2015. Today the doctor who fixed my botched tummy and gave me the most amazing tummy tuck 2 months ago has now fixed what that other doctor also messed up.
The prior doctor made horrible decisions when doing a fat transfer from tummy to breast (this is why I needed tummy tuck, See Review) my past Dr also did a facelift to help me with a genetic issue that couldn't be helped without surgery. To include jowls and neck area.
However he left my neck in the same condition only with a scar. My face was very asymmetrical and with a horrible nasty scar behind my left ear.
Im so grateful I found Dr Vincent Marin of La Jolla CA.
He is honestly brilliant and extremely talented. He's listens as well spends as much time as you want and need to go over every single detail. He would never give you a "over done" look.. which I do not want.
I want to be done (of course) but look natural and beautiful while repairing genetic issues and age. Giving myself a youthful, rested look as I continue to age.
Today I'm excited to start this journey again, and healing process once more. To continue what I had hoped to have started in 2015 that left me less than happy and upset.
I'm very confident and excited to see my results. I know they will be fantastic since I trust my doctor!
My surgery took about 3 hours. I do have a drain (ouch) that was unexpected since I was not doing a full facelift revision today, however the dr wanted to be "safe" as it was collecting a bit of fluid.
I did have a difficult time in recovery as my body just wanted to shut down and didn't want to breathe. (This had happened before for another surgery for my back at a local hospital) So it was me.. Not anything there.
I will be getting stronger pain meds as the Percocet is not working for me. I have a very low tolerance for pain right now. (Maybe do to the recent tummy tuck and being in meds)
I will keep my post coming as I did for the tummy tuck. I followed my same get preparation list for my surgery routine as the tummy tuck. Food and all!! So I had everything ready to go!

Before my first facelift
Genetics are not kind to the neck, regardless. I had to have some tightening done. This picture in early thirties

I hope things go well for you this time. Please keep us posted. Did he do an incision under your chin to tighten your neck?

Glad to see you're still posting. I was just re-reading your review, you spoke of scar reversion. My first face lift, many moons ago, the PS didn't even try to put insidious in the hair line behind the ear, they're right in the middle between the hair and ear. Like I'm going to wear my hair down forever!! What did you PS do for your scars? I'm so sick of trying to cover them with makeup!! The scars in front of the ears are fine, they kind of hide in that tiny crease. I'm very fair complexioned. The scars are white after all these years. I'm from New York, so I make sure I have the best known plastic surgeon now a days.
