I can barely type this as I am almost in tears. Tears of joy! I've been wanting a tt for as long as I can remember. A few stats first, I'm 29 years old (30 in April), mother of two boys (7 and 4), 5'1" and 135lbs (all booty jeezuz). The reason I need this tt is not because of my children, but because for 3 years starting at the age of 18 I was 210lbs. I lost over 100lbs, down to my lowest weight 108. I had my second son, and now have been stable at 130-135. (I hope to be down to 125 before surgery, may be to big of a goal we will see).

Thank you very much Marney13. I'm glad someone likes them. I can't wait to post the after photos. I have 57 days and counting. It seems so far away. Ugh.

Well, everything is set to go. I have the date set and paid for. Now comes the waiting part. Which is the worst I think. Personally, one of the hardest things for me is going to be that I have to wait to buy some new clothes (yay taxes!) until after my procedure because I don't know how everything will fit. Am I going to be the same size? Can anyone help with this?

Thank you! I can't wait to just look "normal" whatever "normal" is..I can't wait to do a push-up and not have my belly touch the ground..lol..ride a bike and not look like I'm wearing a fanny pack, jump up and down and not hear that familiar "slap".

I really have not changed size, clothes just fit better. I have big butt and hips and now find curvy fit pants work well.

Thank you BuffyR. I think I will just purchase a few items and leave it at that. I also have big hips and butt, I just think it will look better when it's all done. :)

I am 6 days post-op and SO thrilled that I got a tummy tuck. For years I have been self conscious and embarrassed about my huge protruding tummy. My butt is as flat as a pancake so you can imagine how ridiculous it looks. Plus, it is super hard to fit into clothes. What I am hoping for is that I will be able to wear my old clothes and that they will finally look nice on me. I am not ready to try anything on yet because I am as swollen as can be. Got drains out today and though my output was under 25cc in each drain, I also have done virtually nothing but stay in bed and watch tv. When I got home the gauze covering the drainage holes were soaked and my underwear were stained also. I am thinking it might be because I did so much more than normal today compared to the past few days. Praying if I take it easy, the drainage eases up and I don't have any complications. I was scared about getting the drains out (pain) but didn't feel it a bit.

Hi Leslie sounds like you had your tummy tuck around the same time as mine. Its been 4 weeks now and im healing well but still taking it very easy as i had a lot of bruising for some reason and its still fading. Im still not 100% standing upright but nearly there. I can still feel that tightness in my belly when i stand but everything seems to be going well. Good luck to you for the rest of your journey.

Good luck to you also Marney! It sure can take a while can't it. Still, like me I bet you think it's worth it. Continue to do well! : )

Well, hello all! It's been a few days since I've updated this. I guess the major thing is that I have my pre-op date set! Yay! It's set for March 16th at 10:45 in the morning. It seems a little more real now. I've decided to lose a couple pounds before my date, or at least I hope. We will see what happens. Sorry I have to keep this short, I have class. :)
