35 Years Ago, Dr. Singer Fixed my Forehead and It Looks Perfect. - La Jolla, CA

When I was 8 years old (or thereabouts) I was on the playground playing a game where two kids raced from opposite directions around a circle to "tag" another kid. Whoever got there first, won. Apparently we were both coming so fast, the kid we were tagging stepped backward and we crashed. His teeth hit my forehead and shattered his upper and lower jaws. My forehead was hard enough not to break the bones, but it was cut deeply and filled with human saliva: a recipe for a nasty scar. My parents took my to Dr. Singer on an emergency basis to see what could be done to not just stitch the wound but to minimize scarring.

I recall Dr. Singer and his office quite clearly. He was such a kind man, and in dealing with a terrified 8 year old girl who had blood streaming down her forehead and dripping off her nose, he was calm, reassuring, and made me feel totally at ease.

He cleaned and then stitched my forehead with the tiniest stitches ever, taped it up, and by the time it healed, the scar was exactly two dots about 1/3 of the way down from my hairline.

Now at age 42, there's a small wrinkle there (since treated with a bit of botox - see closeup for post-botox pic) and the scar is almost invisible. It's unbelievable to me how such an enormous injury can be treated by the best and leave virtually no scars. In comparison, I had a cervical fusion three years ago and still have a large, red, 3" x 3mm scar across my neck where most people's fusion scars disappear almost entirely - so I'm prone to scarring. Dr. Singer is nothing short of magic, and I simply want to thank him.
