Feeling better
Boobs4me2015July 29, 2015
I'm 12 days post-op and it's amazing how much my boobs have changed comparing pics from week 1 to week 2. They are dropping more and taking shape but still very stiff and not squishy yet. Stopped my pain meds on day 8 and had my first night of sleep without waking up once with pain. I'm still experiencing a lot of tightness in my chest and swelling around the incision site. I called my PS today because I have a hard lump under each incision that is visibly raised. No pain just discomfort. I'm waiting to hear back from him. I'm also retaining a lot of water especially in my abdomen since the surgery. Not sure if this is common but it's so annoying to feel my skin jiggle every time I walk.
I'm not wearing a bra at all per doctor's orders since any type of compression even the stretchy sports bra was making the swelling worse. Just wearing pasties to cover my nipples. The pasties help with my nipple sensitivity which by the way has been so intense. Even just the touch of my shirt on my nipples is painful without some type of barrier. Band aids would probably work too.
Other than that just trying to be patient waiting for them to look and feel like real boobs. Right now they feel like two rocks on my chest.

Feeling depressed and upset
Boobs4me2015July 18, 2015
I seriously want to cry right now. I feel like my boobs look the same as they did before surgery. My husband says they look way different but when I look down I don't notice any difference except that they look swollen. I feel so distraught I don't know what to do. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a normal part of the process? Wondering if anyone looked similar to me post op with good results 1-3 months post op. Do I just need to be patient? I need some reassurance.

A friend of mine had the same surgery as you & for the first couple of weeks after She looked horrible to say the least. In fact it made me want to totally reconsider doing it myself!!! Now she looks AMAZING and I'm glad I had a friend do it first. LOL. By the looks of your photos, you are light years ahead of where she was at the same stage you are in right now. I'm sure you just need to give it some time.

Thank you for the reassurance. I probably just need to be patient but it's so frustrating going through all this and feeling like it's not turning out the way I expected.

I feel exactly the same way. I am now 16 days post and for the first week I was distraught, crying daily and I am not an emotional person at all. I feel slightly better now but compared to others on here I still don't feel like I am anywhere near what theirs were like. My surgeon decided size during and gave me 255 anatomicals when I specificat said before hand I do not want anything that small. He said he tried a 295 and it started to look artifici round the top. I am still not happy but at my one week apt he said they looked good and would see me in another 6 weeks and would be surprised if I was still unhappy. I am def happier than week one but not happy like I thought I would be. Yours look good to me, you just need to wait for them to drop and fluff a little but they look good to me! I think we are all too critical after lookig at some many other purples!

Thank you! Yeah, it's hard not to compare yourself to others on this site but I keep reminding myself that everyone heals at different rates. My PS showed me pics of one of his patients throughout the recovery process and her boobs didn't drop and fluff until 3 months post op so it's a good reminder that we just need to be patient. Thank god for this support group though because no matter how much I tell myself to be patient I still look in the mirror everyday expecting my boobs to look perfect :-)

Thank you for the encouragement! Your boobs look fantastic so I'm hoping I will have great results from dr. Kearney too! Ugh it's so hard being patient!

You sound like I did 10 years ago. I cried for a week because i did the same thing looked down and didnt think they were even done. Believe me when I say they will drop. Gravity will take its course you have to be patient. I had 300ccHP and am a size D bra don't stress.

Hope you are feeling better about yourself. I'm kinda nervous to book my appy with dr kearney now...please keep us posted on your results!

I will definitely keep you posted. I will post another pic soon. I'm starting to feel better about my boobs. They are slowly taking shape even though it's only 6 days post-op. Don't let my post discourage you. I'm just super impatient and was comparing myself to others on this site. Out of all the doctors I researched, Dr. Kearney's results looked the most natural which is why I chose him and he is only 1 in 2 docs in San Diego that does the transaxillary procedure. So far my recovery has been great…just trying to be patient and waiting for these puppies to drop and fluff. Check out boobslarou profile. She went to Dr. Kearney also and her results are AMAZING. Best of luck!
