Extremely unhappy with results of face and neck lift. My primary concern was a sagging double chin. Post surgery I had a large lump under my chin. Dr. Kyllo said that the lump would dissolve. Several times I expressed my concern about the lump and my fear that when the lump dissolved that I would be left with sagging skin. Dr. Kyllo stated that would not happen. He was wrong. When I complained to Dr. Kyllo about the appearance of my neck he murmured something to the effect of “I should have put a needle in that”. He also said that I “dropped” more than he anticipated. I've consulted with other plastic surgeons about my results and they believe that I developed a large hemotoma under my chin that should have been drained. Dr. Kyllo did offer me a “redo” for free but I would still have to pay thousands of dollars for the anesthesia. And a free redo doesn't take into account the time missed from work to heal from the procedure. I can’t put myself back in the hands of someone who won’t explain what went wrong or how they intend to prevent the same problem from happening again. I got the impression that Dr. Kyllo was annoyed with my questions about his methods. I understand that results can't be guaranteed and that everyone responds to surgery in a different way. But I do feel that a treatable problem was ignored. Dr. Kyllo was right about one thing. Four years later and no one would ever guess that I had a face and neck lift.
