About to Turn 40, Trying to Turn Back the Clock

Thanks to my dad’s side of the family I was blessed with a weak jawline and a small chin. As I’ve gotten older my small chin makes me look like I have a double chin. Beginning my journey to burn the fat under my chin which makes me look older.

I hope you are not disappointed. I had it done the first week of August, and I was incredibly painful for the first 24 hours, sore for a week, massively swollen for 2 weeks and then numb for a month. Now I'm 7 weeks post and can't tell a difference from before. I spent $2000 and have little hope that anything will happen. I keep waiting. I know people will say you have to do it more than once, but for the pain, and zero improvement and risk involved, I say no thank you. For reference, I'm 44, thin (5'10" and 140 lbs) and like you have started getting the heriditary double chin and jowls. Now I'm wondering if fillers will help or if I should have just gone for a facelift. Good luck if you decide to do it.
Curious, how many vials did you have injected?
3 vials.
3 vials and now it's 3 months. Still wishing it would have worked or that I hadn't wasted the $$
Hi Calm864710 - I sent you a pm, I hope you see it :)
I
I'm 45 125lbs 5'5", had 2 vials of Kybella 7/16/21 not very painful at all (only when it was being injected, it burned for a few minutes). I definitely had the bullfrog look for a couple of days but returned to work on Monday and it was about back to normal. Pain after injection was like a sore muscle (not bad at all for me) and lasted a couple of hours, all swelling was gone after a week and the numbness lasted 6 weeks. My results were amazing, I could tell after 2 weeks that the fat was gone, I could see a jawline that I hadn't seen probably ever. I had a second injection of 1 vial 4 weeks ago and that pretty much took care of the rest. My injector was shocked by the results and tightening done by the first dose. I actually like how I look in pictures now and I haven't liked a picture in 20yrs! My provider injected numbing solution into the area and then used a canula to inject the Kybella, I think that may be why I only felt the Kybella solution burning and not all the small injections.
I'm glad it worked for you! I had three vials and did not see results. I'm wondering if I don't really have fat and if it's just sagging skin. I would think that the injector would have been able to tell the difference though. After 2 to 3 weeks I was relieved that the swelling went down so I could see my face again, but I've compared side by side photos from before and after and cannot tell any difference.
I am going through the same thing! Waiting for a neck lipo consultation
Today is 22 days after my injections. I still have a swollen lump under my chin. It is slowly getting smaller and as it is shrinking my chin is starting to raise as well. I take pics everyday so I can see the progress. It is a very slow process. The first day I started to swell and also got the bullfrog look. It went down a few days later. The first night I was really uncomfortable. I didn’t sleep well, but after that it has been just fine. If you are looking for a quick fix, Kybella isn’t it. Results could take as long as a month or more. Being 22 days in and still having a hard lump is proof. The lump is definitely shrinking though. I wake up every morning and feel it before I get out of bed. Also, there is a slight numb feeling still there. I am 44 years old I am 5’5 I also weigh about 170.
