Seven Weeks Post-Op

$800
This will be my final post for the kybella procedure, unless something drastically changes afterwards. The dermatologist said it could take up to 8 weeks to see results and I am only at 7 weeks, but nothing has changed since around week 3 post op. My conclusion is this was a huge waste of money, I had faith in my dermatologist and the fact that I had very minimal fat to remove, it's pretty disheartening kybella couldn't even meet my minimal expectations. My small double chin has not changed at all and I know they're going to recommend a second series of kybella which I will not pay for, I would have liked to see something come from the first treatment before deciding to invest a second round at another $800. Because the results of kybella are so varied (obviously only a 50% success rate on RealSelf is pretty alarming), I went to a very high end dermatologist and had very little to treat and still saw no results, highly recommend going for lipo or a treatment other than kybella. I am considering dropping ~$5000 for air sculpting on my chin from Elite Body Sculpture, which is steep but almost guaranteed results and a one-and-one compared to the coin toss of kybella injections.

Five weeks post-injection
AnnaBurnsMay 15, 2023
About 5 weeks post-injection and still not happy with results, I can't even tell the difference from my before and my five week photos. The dermatologist said it could take up to 8 weeks to see results, I was assuming because I had so little to dissolve in the first place I wouldn't have a problem seeing some difference. Will post another in a few weeks but so far feel like I wasted $800 and wish I had just done lipo or something that had a higher chance of sculpting my jaw and chin.

Swelling down at 3 weeks
AnnaBurnsMay 3, 2023
Just after 3 weeks post injection and still slightly swollen and not seeing results. The injection spot is nearly back to normal sensitivity wise, I really have to press around on it to notice and sensitivity. The skin is ever so slightly numb but again can’t tell unless really pushing. Going to contact the dermatologist I had it down with, so far a waste of money. :/
