Kybella for Small Double Chin

Always been self conscious of my jowls and lack of chin/jawline definition so I decided to give kybella a try. Injected 15 times in the small fatty pocket under my chin, doctor did not want to go up the jawline as there is an increased risk of hitting a nerve. The treatment itself was quick and painless, started to sting a few minutes after and they gave me an ice pack and said it would last about 20 minutes. It stung and my jaw was really tight for about an hour after the procedure, not incredibly painful but mild/moderately uncomfortable. Swelling was slight a few hours after, it’s now been about 10 hrs after the injection and it’s still only slightly swollen, enough where I’m ok out in public but probably not going to social gatherings. I’m told the swelling is correlated to how much there is to treat and mine was minor. Area just feels bruised and stings when touched, again, pretty mild compared to what I anticipated.

I feel like it wasn't worth it at ALL. I'm looking into lipo under there now.

Same! I just had almost full body airsculpting and waiting to see results but, if good, I’ll definitely consider it for my chin. Being able to target the fat and tighten the skin, even if much higher price, just seems a lot more deliberate and exact to tiny little injections and hoping for the best. Let me know how yours goes if you get it!

It takes time. It will be worth it

Day 1 and 2 Post Injection Very Mild Swelling

AnnaBurns
~24 hrs (or the next morning) the injection site was noticeably swollen if I tucked my chin in, not terribly noticeable in a neutral position. On the second day the swelling had gone down enough where I forgot about the treatment all together, went out to a few social gatherings without embarrassment. It's still slightly swollen if I tuck my chin in, slightly sensitive to touch but not painful, and a few tiny bruises. Very minor side effects to most people!

8 Days Post-Op, Still Mild Swelling

AnnaBurns
Just over a week after my kybella injection and my chin is about the same. I think the first 24-48 hours after injection were worst and the swelling did go down slightly, but still a little stingy and looks like a full double chin when I pull my chin in. With my face in a normal position, you really can't tell, my family didn't even notice!
