Kybella for Small Amount of Fat

Day 3
$450
Today is day 3 (second morning waking up after kybella) swelling is way down, I went out in public feeling ok. Still swollen but to the point where no one would probably notice except me. I am surprised how quickly swelling has gone down considering other people’s experiences. Again, this could just be due to having one vial only. I will take some photos later today and post them. Under chin/neck area is tender to the touch, and some mild bruising that is easily covered with makeup. Tiny bit numb under there but nothing really noticeable at all if I’m not touching it.

Before and immediately after as well as morning after
Here are my pics from yesterday right after and then this morning. Fell asleep as soon as I got home which is weird for me, and slept for several hours. Woke up 10pm, then could not get to sleep. Did not really sleep last night, was up til 4am with insomnia, so I look even worse and puffier than usual from that too I'm sure. I def would not be comfortable in public seeing anyone today

ORIGINAL POST
Kybella for Small Amount of Fat
I really don’t have a double chin, but I have always felt like my face looks so much better the thinner it is. I wanted to try Kybella after seeing a few reviews by ladies who also don’t have much submental fat but still appear to get some lower face/jawline slimming after Kybella.
I only got one vial, and the place I went to tried to talk me out of doing any at all.
They said I don’t have enough fat there to make a difference.
At $450 I thought it was still worth a shot. Maybe from their perspective my face doesn’t look like it has enough fat to make a difference, but I know what I look like when my face is skinnier- and even a small difference may very well still be worth it to me.
If I see some improvement then I will consider doing another round. I will give it at least 2-3 months before making that decision though.
It was definitely somewhat painful to have done, but really not that bad overall. I was scared going in, but I did not end up feeling nearly as bad as a lot of people describe- maybe because I only had one vial.
I did take before pictures which I will post. We shall see how this goes!
P.s. I’m also scheduled to do coolsculpting on my arms on 4/22 which I am super excited about, so I’ll be posting before and afters on that in the near future too in case anyone is interested :)

Thank you for sharing your results, I look forward to seeing your photos.
How are your results. I barely had any fat and they injected me and now it’s makimg my jaw line sink in, loose skin, it’s horrible
So far I don’t have anything like that! I’m so sorry to hear that!!!! How many vials did they do to you and how long until you had those results?
I’m basically at baseline right now, although I can still feel a very small hard lump at the base of the injections under chin/neck.

Oh I just read some of your posts about it on your profile, that’s awful :( you probably did not need two whole vials, and/or also maybe there was also an issue with your injections being placed too close to nerves?
Do you have any pics?
I will post a photo update of my own soon. Maybe you can ask your doctor about whether jawline filler can help?
Also I know this sounds silly and I am no doctor, but google search face exercises to do to keep your face and cheek muscles strong. I know muscle is not the same as fat, but at least you can maintain or strengthen your facial muscles to try to help with the volume loss from fat.

Thank you so much for the advise, it’s funny as I was also googling neck and face excersisrs to. I was told the product worked to aggressively on me. I went back to the doctor and apparently the product moved up my platysma band and up into my face. Kybella needs to let people know that this product does move to other areas. In my case it moved 8 inches up into my face :(
Thank you for posting! I think I’m in the same boat - no serious double chin but I have a chubby face. My mom did Kybella and told me that it worked in areas on her face that she didn’t intend for it to!
