$999
Got Kybella on January 16th. Paid for two vials for a total cost of $999. I knew results wouldn’t show for at least two weeks so I waited to do this review. Now, I can say with absolute surety that I wish I would have taken my money and just got traditional chin liposuction. Two weeks later and I am STILL swollen and sore. I could be fine with that but I’m dealing with it PLUS not seeing results. Knowing I threw away $1000 makes me angry. Do yourself a favor and get traditional chin lipo because doctors only want to make you pay more by selling you 3+ rounds of Kybella. That’s the same price as traditional chin lipo! And, without all of the recurring downtime. I will do a one month update but I’m not hopeful for change.

For all of the people who told me to "wait on results" -- 1 YR UPDATE

It has been a year, and one round (two syringes) of Kybella made no noticeable difference. Not only did it not shrink my double chin, but it made my chin numb for almost 6 months! I am now moving forward with traditional liposuction of the chin. I understand multiple rounds of Kybella are needed but it's scary to throw thousands towards shots that may work when you can put the same amount towards a proven method.

Was it very painful? Did you feel the numbness in your throat or just on the outside neck area? Was swallowing affected? Sorry it didn’t work out for you.

I have my own mile long review on this website, but I will add my two cents worth on here as well... I did have three rounds, to the final tune of $3800. I am 65 years old so realistically I think I knew beforehand that I would have some loose skin, and I do. However, in my family, we are all cursed with a natural fatty under-chin area. My whole life I dreamt of the sculpted movie star chin/neck, but it is about genetics for me... So I did undergo the treatments, first 3 vials, then 2 a year later, and then 1- 1/2 a month ago. With each treatment, I had minor results until I reached this acceptable point. All I can say is yes, there is a definite difference, making it at least possible for me to be in family photos again. Is it perfect? No. As you said, that would require a face lift for me at this age, and I am 100% never going to do anything that involves cutting. If you like, you can check my own review in a day or two when I am going to post my before and final after for comparison. Believe it or not, even imperfect, I would still have done this. But I think it has to do with how much I loathed my problem area before. There are no real results, I don't think, unless you continue through several treatments, and indeed it is a slow process. Do keep us updated about your progress. I wish you the absolute best!
