Kybella for Belly Fat
I had one treatment for Kybella around my navel to attempt to smooth out the area after liposuction. What they do not tell you with Lipo is you likely will be left with lumps here and there. Well, I have one around my navel that is there regardless of weight loss. Well, I suppose I could lose down to skeletal weight and perhaps it might go away. So, I went into this spa for a IPL treatment on my face and neck and chest. That went great. I like their machine and saw results. But I was talked into getting Kybella treatments because there was this special package deal for 3 for $760 and she had seen great results on arms and other body areas besides chin. I was skeptical but hopeful. I was told to give each treatment 6 weeks or more to show results (something to do with your lymphatic drainage) and being this was not my chin but my stomach it may take longer. Well, I waited until June to call back for an additional treatment because A, I am busy and B, I never saw any results and C, I was not told differently. My lump is still there...the same 6 months later.
I called today to schedule my second treatment and was told there was no record of my purchase. Dejavu as this happened to me at another spa as well. They changed software systems and my information was lost...I was further informed there was no way I could have bought 3 vials due to the cost regardless of a special. She at least did recall my stomach injections though. I must be mistaken therefore but she will give me a 2nd vial for a second treatment. Sorry I paid good money and it is not a gift...if anything I am being shorted a 3rd vial. I do not think this will work any better than the first one but she insists a minimal of 2 treatments is needed and maybe up to 6! If my lump goes away I will update my review...meanwhile, I wish I had my $760 back. Beware of buying On sale Packages without at least getting in writing a receipt of what you have purchased, with the date, the exact treatments and total cost. Otherwise you are at the mercy of the technician's memory... and what if that person quits? Oh, I was also informed that due to the fact I did not return within 8 weeks I have no Kybella rewards. I am not sure this is correct as the rewards were given up front in the discounted price.
...whatever. No loss since so far it hasn't worked.
Had I been told to return within 8 weeks I would have. How would a layperson know about the 2 month window? So, they get a 1 for communication and for not keeping records of my purchase.
I will NEVER buy another package deal. I will NEVER allow myself to be talked into anything while on the table. At best it is unprofessional. At worst it is taking advantage of your clients.
If approached with a steal of a deal, Go home, think it over. If they pressure you walk away. I would not have paid $760 for an experimental stomach treatment of Kybella if I thought it was just for two vials and if I had been told I may need 3-6 treatments.
On a side note, I had a second IPL treatment and was also approached with a package deal. Buy today and save sort of hard selling. I will get my pre-paid Kybella treatment and be through with this spa. Too bad as I like their IPL machine and they are very thorough and experienced with its use. But I cannot take the lack of professionalism.
