40 something & hated the turkey neck...

I'm sharing because the reviews seemed mixed, but I am more than satisfied w/my results & wanted to share my experience w/others who may be on the fence. I'm about 20lbs over weight right now, but ever since I gave birth 11 years ago, I have had a horrible double chin that persists (no matter what I weigh). It was depressing!!! I'm too chicken to "go under the knife", so when I learned about Kybella I got really excited. After I started researching it though, I got anxious because A. it's not exactly cheap & B. the odds of it working didn't seem so great based on reviews. The only trend I seemed to notice, was that the younger the person was, the less effective it seemed to be (just my observation) & since I'm 45'ish, I decided to go for it. I had 2 syringes done on December 29th. I was numbed first (which was the worst part), but overall, it wasn't too bad. I had the bull frog neck for a couple of weeks & swelling didn't really noticeably subside until around week 4, but the difference was very apparent by then. I'm posting a side by side before & after picture (7 weeks out). Technically tomorrow is 7 weeks, but who's splitting hairs? Anyhow, I am beyond thrilled w/the results & am SO very happy I did it!!!! I have decided to get one more injection to target the jowl area next month & hopefully complete the restoration of my jaw line! Best $$ I ever spent on a cosmetic procedure!! :)
