Hey Ladies, so I'm a 34 year old mom of 4....19, 15, 9, and 4. I also have 6 step children with my boyfriend of 6 1/2 years (we've also dated off and on since we were 12 and my 4yr old is ours together) You'd think with all these kids I'd be super skinny but that's not the case.I haven't wanted so long to finally do something for me and 5 1/2 months from now, I'm getting rid of this fat ugly stomach! No matter how much I workout, it seems to stick around! Reading all your reviews and looking at all your before and after pics makes me even more excited than I already was!!! Please send me any advice, tips, or personal experiences that can help me through this process. I really want this to be a smooth process! Best wishes to all of you....can't wait to hear from you!

Good luck in your upcoming surgery you came to the rigt place and will go into your surgery with knowledge as well as samples of work to show you PS of your desired results I found this site post OP while I was just recovering propped up in my recliner! It has helped me so much. What are some of the the benefits of a drainless TT? Good luck
September 18, 2013
Thanks hon! Some of benefits of the drainless TT are less chance of infection, less pain, no drains so no need to empty them or have them removed (which I hear can be painful), and no additional scaring. There is less activity restrictions and the whole recovery process is supposed to be better. Surgery takes a little longer and costs a little more but I definitely think its worth! When I get brave enough I'll post pics of my fat tummy, lol.

ahh.. gotcha my surgeon puts the drain in the incision line it didn't hurt coming out at all. I wonder if there is less chance for fluid? well good luck :)

Pharmsales, yes, less chance of fluid buildup/seromas because the layer of the abdomen that is lifted is sutured down in several places internally, which eliminates the big pocket area where fluid can collect. I think it is still possible to have a seroma but it's less likely to occur from my understanding.

well good luck hun...even if you get a seroma it's really no big deal. I'm sure you will be great!

I had a drainless full TT with muscle repair, lipo in flanks, pubic area and under chest I'm 19 days post op and let me tell you it's not an easy recovery, I am still walking hunchback and in pain. But I am happy with my decision. I chose a great surgeon and he really exceeded my expectations. my belly button in nice and my incision is super low and short, considering all the fat and skin he removed. expect a lot of swelling for a while. Everyday, it gets easier. The first week was the hardest, I needed help getting up and with my 3 kids. that's about it. Take your pain meds and get some frozen peas to help the swelling and you wil be ok. I can't wait till I'm cleared to workout. Good luck doll!

I also had the drainless type of TT but did end up with drains due to all of the lipo. I agree it is painful with the extra layer upon layer of sutures but so worth it. Please feel free to check out my profile. I am 4 weeks post op and am feeling pretty great. I've got a few tips on various things plus what you may need after surgery, what has helped me along the way, etc. I've got lots of pics posted. I've had pretty dramatic results, so I hope it helps. Best tip: stay on your pain meds around the clock for the first week. That was the hardest time, no doubt. After that, it has been easier each day. I'm still healing but also back to doing a lot of things (went back to work after 2-1/2 weeks with no problem). Let me know if you have questions. I'll help any way I can!

I agree with the comment regarding staying on the pain medicine round the clock the first week. I did the same and feel that it really helped me control pain and rest up to help me heal. I can't wait to review yours! Cheers, happy healing. I just went in for my post-op 1 month and have a 3 month next. I can't wait to see the results at 3 months.

Are you going home right away after surgery? The best thing I did was go to a recovery center for a few days. My main go to things I got was a power recliner, I slept in it for the first couple weeks, wedge pillow for when I moved into my bed, a walker for first few days at home, and an arm extender grabber thing which was awesome!
September 21, 2013
Yes, I will be going home right after surgery. My kids will be with a friend for a few days and my other friend will stay with me and take care of me....poor her, lol! Did u have a pain pump? I plan on getting the 5 day pain pump....no need to feel pain if I dont have too. I need to get a walker cuz I already have back problems due to a car accident so I don't want to put too much added pressure on it.

I was also worried about pain, so I had my surgeon give me Exparel, which is a drug your surgeon injects into you before he closes you up, it's a 3 day numbing drug, its was perfect, I didn't feel any pain at all... Only downside it's "$$" I paid $700 for it. I had to think about it, but I know I would have been kicking myself if I hadn't had it and was then in pain...
September 22, 2013
I feel exactly the same. ... why make myself suffer with pain when I don't have to!? I'm getting the 5 day pain pump and its $700.00 but surely worth it. My doc said its like getting an epideral but just in your stomach. I also will not have drains so I won't have to deal with that =o)
