WORTH IT$15,000
I have just started my research. Thank you for the real selfies out there! It gives me hope that this will be worth it. I have lost over 100 lbs since I had my son 7 years ago. I was a whale when I was pregnant. I am now ready to get my TT and Breast lift with Aug. I have been to 4 different Dr's so far. Why do they all have different recommendations and prices ?? Has anyone else experienced this? I have had quotes from 14k-20500!! It seems crazy to me that two of the quotes have been over 16k. I even had one Dr. tell me that not seeing any scars in a bikini is not realistic and I need a serious reality check. I have seen great results on this site. Boo DR Boo! I work hard and feel like it's my time to feel good about my body. I am currently 5'7 1/2" at 145 lbs. I work out a ton and play soccer. I have 2 more Docs to see before I pick! Any advice?

Much of what you pay for is skill level. MAKE SURE that whichever doctor you choose is board certified. And your incision location, shape, length, etc. depends on many factors including PS technique, your own unique anatomy, etc. Typically someone with a huge weight loss (congrats!) has less elastic and thinner skin to work with and other issues that make their surgery a little different and a bit more difficult than someone who hasn't. It totally changes skin and other soft tissue quality and texture sometimes, often making for a higher incision. They also usually need a vertical incision in addition to blend everything from the sides just right. Different surgical techniques and preferences account for some of the differing advice at your consultations. Oh, and as for the price, you generally get what you pay for....

All of the Docs I have seen so far are Board Certified. I definitely will not take the risk or spend the money without that. I am also looking into Medicare certified facilities and proximity to a hospital. This last Doc I saw also told me to do the procedures separately?? He said first the Tummy tuck and then the Breast lift/aug. This is the first I have heard of doing that. It seems like it would be so much harder on me and my body doing 2 separate surgeries.

Thank you!! The list was very helpful !

You can definitely wear a bikini afterwards if you choose to. I wouldn't trust that surgeon because it sounds like he does high scars. Congrats on the weight loss! I'm in Connecticut which can be expensive and it was just under 14k for my tummy tuck and breast lift. Go with who you feel most comfortable with and who's reviews and before and after pics are the best. Good luck and keep us posted!

I really hope so! Dr. Remington is having me bring mine in so he can make sure the lines are much lower :)

After a lengthy search, I did find the one. I really feel like he wants the best for me. It came down to 2 ps's. I feel like I made the best choice.

Definitely trust your gut. I had 2 consults and I ended up going with the 2nd PS who is costing a little bit more but I felt like he really understood what I wanted and took a lot of time explaining everything to me. You need to trust you PS so go with one that makes you feel confident and comfortable. And congrats on the weight loss and good luck!

Picking THE ONE!

I finished my 6 consults. Phew. It's exhausting hearing all of the information, opinions, and standing naked in front of strangers. Some of the places seemed like they had a lot of "fluff" and less substance. I understand having pretty young girls helping out in the office and assisting with the consultations, however don't have one give me medical advice. I was able to narrow down my search to the 2 Docs I felt most comfortable with and they both gave me the most information. Now I'm having a hard time deciding between the 2. Ugh! I want to make the right choice. It's just a huge decision!! Here are some before photos!

Every PS has a certain style and mostly they do them all the same if you really look at the belly buttons scar placement and the hips you can get the idea of what he will do for you. Id go with the dr that has the most reviews on real self, see the work and talk to his patients. Real self is a great tool for that. Good luck hun :)

My dr is in Miami he is the master of his craft. We live in bikinis so he knows how to place the scar low and i can where any bikini even the skimpy ones. Run fast from that surgeon he probably knows he can go that low. Take your bikin with you and stress what you want. What i did is i tanned before in a bikini that was even tinier than id normally wear so when i was on the operating table my surgeon could see as if he needed yet another reminder of how low i wanted my scar! God bless that man for not closing down the practice after me lol but dr Hochstein got it right and I'm so happy. Good luck

If you have a pain pump do them together. Piece of cake heal once and be done!
December 29, 2013
Awesome! My girlfriend went to the ps I am going to. He was the one I was most comfortable with. He uses the pain pump. Did you also get the shot for muscle relaxing? He seems to know exactly what I want and is very concerned about his lines. I am definitely buying a bikini before hand and wearing it to my pre-op appt. I love that you put the picture of the scar treatments too. Did you buy those online?

Hello fellow Washingtonian.....good to find another RS friend from around here. I'm having my surgery on February 28th.....Drainless TT(if your doc offers this go for it), muscle repair, and lipo on my flanks and mid back. I also will have a pain pump, thank God! So who did you finally choose? My Doc is in Kirkland and I love him and his staff! Look forward to following your journey!

One month to go until Surgery!! EEEK!

Brianne00
I have my pre-op on March 18th and I am so nervous. I'm also considering a little lipo on my thighs. But I don't want to go tooo crazy. I need to get my list of things to get. So far I have : Stool softeners, Milk of magnesia, Protein shakes, Electric recliner, Scar cream, scar tape?, Vitamin e, Arnica, extra soft bras, tummy wrap, prescriptions. What else do I need??

I am also very excited to have my sad boobs back where they should be! I'm also excited for smaller nipples lol! Mine just seem so big. I have this pooch of extra skin that regardless of how the scar turns out, will be gone. I can't wait for that. This has been a long journey for me. I am so thankful for my supportive boyfriend who is taking 2 weeks off of work to take care of me. He is incredible and is also excited for my surgery. He can't wait to see me in a bikini :)
