Thank u to everyone who has shared their experiences. It helps seeing the realistic side of this surgery & the more knowledge on recovery the better! Surgery planned Nov 28/2017. Final pre op Nov 21.Ive wanted a lift for over 10 years & have decided to give myself the boobs i want. I've had my pre op visit with dr.valnichek in may and another final one Nov 21st. He is knowledgeable, professional has wonderful bedside manner & knows how to talk and Listen to his patients. I went to the other boob plastic surgeon in 2015 & I really wasn't ready then but when he said "nobody ever complains they are too big" and I knew he want the right surgeon for me. I am very active & have had bigger boobs (DD once) from birth control pills and know first hand i do not like having giant boobs.
My main concerns are the recovery process. Sleeping on my back & not doing anything silly to cause complications. I have had a laparoscopic hysterectomy from cervical cancer & am not good at resting quietly.
So here we go, I'm glad this forum exists & thank u to all the trail blazers before me !

Hi there, Wishing you the best with your upcoming surgery! As for sleeping on my back I found muscle relaxers (i.e. Valium) my PS prescribed to be very helpful. It also helped to put a pillow under each arm especially at the 45° angle this provided stability preventing me from sliding from side to side; and stability helps with sleep. Do you know what size/type of implant you’ll be getting? Any other details you have to share would be interesting to know. I look forward to hearing more.... :-)

Thanks ! The pain isn't as bad as I thought. Just trying to be careful to not do anything stupid. Sleeping upright is pretty tough but they gave good pain killers that keep me settled
