Have 19 year old saline under muscle. Pain after a fall 3 years ago so now time to remove. I'm ready except scared of recovery and potential problems. PS said will not remove capsules unless he determines necessity during procedure. No drains planned unless there is eccessive bleeding. Seems straightforward and hoping this is the case? I'll share as I go. Wish me luck please.

Looks good! Hey, if I had pain I'd also be doing whatever makes me comfortable. Happy healing!

I'm so happy to find these reviews. absolutely terrified. I'm 57 years old and I've had my implants for almost 30 years they are under the muscle. I have stage 4 contractures and also when they remove my implants are under the muscle so they have severe capsules and they are going to have to remove them I will have to have drains and scars and I will have to have a breast lift, or as my husband calls at a facelift that's not that funny but I thought it was. My surgery is going to cost me $4,700. I'm just scared of the pain I'm glad that you had simpler surgery I don't know how to put my own story on here so maybe you could comment on that I don't have any pictures yet I just went to my consultation but thanks for posting these.

Best of luck to you. I was really afraid to have drains or get infection too. I thought I would need capsules out as well which admittedly terrified me. Having kids to look after with drains in was a big issue for me. Think if you don't have that sort of pressure you'll be okay. Just look at it as a vacation on pain killers for a few days. But you're going to be very happy. Wish I could give more insight. All the best to you!!!

O and I chose no lift which would have been added pain. Doc said could do fat graft later if I want but I'm happy with my little ski slopes. I'm 54 and my husband loves my soft natural boobs. Not that I would do anything else to my body for anybody but me.

Adding before photos. Getting really nervous about the healing process mostly. I'm terrified of fluid build up afterwards. 3 more sleeps til I'm flat chested again. But really want them out. Not really optional though because of my painful left breast.

Wishing you good luck and a big helping hand from Mother Nature. I'm 2 weeks post-op and couldn't be happier with my results (I'm 55, had implants for 19 years so we have a similar history in that respect). I've posted some pics if you're interested.

All done and happy. Was in at 9:15. Did pre-op and met anesthesiologist. In o.r. around 11:15. Relaxed went sleep woke up feeling good. Really good. Doctor did not have to remove capsules. Said they were fine and very thin so not a lot of trauma therefore not lots of pain. I'm slightly sore so too one pain pill at 3:00. Haven't taken good look yet just when I woke after surgery. But I think I'll be ok with appearance but have to say I am over the moon happy and know it's going to keep improving. I told my 14 year old son. Wasn't sure but figured he's mature so just be honest. Odd but I think he appreciated. He's a worrier so I didn't want him to think I had cancer or anything medically wrong. Thx for listening. I'll post pics when I see them?

As of recent I habe decided to look into having mine removed. 36DD. They are 15.5 years old. I just dont like having large breasts anymore. Clothes fit awkwardly, back hurts, etc. I will be looking for your after photos. I am very nervous about pursuing it but I know I need to do this.

Good 4 u. Keep watching this forum and I'm sure you'll find inspiration and insight. It so helped me and only day one, early in game, but every time I walk by my floor length mirror in hallway to my bath I look and smile. Looks like I've lost 10 lbs and 5 years. I feel great too. All experiences different and I could still have complications but so far so good. Wishing you a peaceful decision. I was nervous too.

You're welcome. Day 1 postoperative for me and still feel really good. Just want a shower desperately

Good for you! I'm glad your surgery went well! I told my son as well who is an adult now. He told me he's proud of me for wanting to have them removed. He said he felt weird when he was a kid after I had my BA. I wish I had never done it now. It makes me happy that my son is proud of me. I'm proud of all the women saying no more to these fake plastic balls!
