Glad to see you are happy with the results...I have my pre op on the 19th with Peterson...decided on explant with lift...keep an eye on my posts... :)

Best of luck. I'll be watching for your progress. They're all great at that facility. You're going to be so happy☺

Fabulous results! Congratulations, you did the right thing. I'm less than 3 weeks from my explant and still have yet to tell my 3 teen-aged sons, but I have to. I dread it. They don't even know I had the implants inserted because they were toddlers at the time.

They don't have to know you had implants, you could just say you are having a reduction which isn't a lie...
November 15, 2015
I was thinking about doing that! Thx for the affirmation.

Good idea from bwb917. That's sort of what I told my 11 year old son. Said I had constant backaches and doctor suggested reducing size of my breasts and that seemed to make sense to him. But my teenager I told truth. Told him if he ever had anybody in his life contemplating getting implants he could share my story and talk them out of getting implants. Good luck. This was one of my biggest fears with explanations too but it was all ok in the end. They were both great about it and took care of me for a few days☺

Hi "54" and others,
54, you look amazing!!!!! I'm thrilled to hear you're healing and feeling great! I'm 48, with 24 yr old sub peck 275 cc saline. 1 is deflated since September. I also told my teen about the surgery BC its been so emotional and disruptive to my family having to stress out about finding the best surgeon and which PS approach is best for me with limited researched based data\info to reference.
I've been through the ringer with researching the best approach for explant no implant replacement surgery. This web site is so helpful with the lack of reseacrch based data and mostly opinions of best surgery protocol for explants. II have no breast implant illness symptoms so a simple explant is best for me too. However; there's a few doctors out there who will go to extremes in surgery to prevent illnesses that aren't even medically founded. One consultation I had was with a surgeon who even wanted to take my lympth nodes out as a preventative measure which can cause severe problems later.
I'm scheduled for explant 11\23\15. No caps removed (unless PS is suspect when in), but I will have drains no lift. Maybe fat transfer later not sure.
Sorry to ramble, I will eventually post my story and pay it forward!
You're an inspiration!
Thx you for taking your time to post!
I'm in Georgia.

Best of luck to you. All of the posts on this site seem to vary so much in regards to difficulty of procedure etc. I was terrified and expected the worst but was so surprised at how easy it was. Literally 4 days of discomfort and I was fine. First 2 the worst obviously coupled with not being able to wash my hair

Btw I did not need drains. Took antibiotics and kept frozen peas on chest for 2 days during waking hours. Doc said would do if excessive bleeding and would decide during surgery but woke up without which is what he anticipated

Yes I have used him before when I had the implants put in....love his bedside manner and his staff is awesome...no hesitation to go back to him for the explant :)

I can't thank you enough! You look exactly like I do with implants & with the same scenario. It's so encouraging to see how great you look after the explant. I feel I know what to expect & can't wait to do it myself. Thanks again for sharing!

You're so welcome and good luck. You're gonna be sooo happy☺

Not much change really but I'm feeling good about how they look. Obviously not as perky as I'd like but I am 54. Went for proper bra fitting today. Ended up with lovely little 34C. Shocked actually to be in c cup coming from a previous implant a cup. Guess we really do change over the years. So new pics here. I haven't compared to old yet but will see now the comparison. Steristrips off and feeling very little soreness. Almost normal

Went for followup today and the removed the tape. Just the steristrips now. Feel great. Tired by 3:30 but think that's ok. Doc said all looked good and in future if I wanted more fullness up top I could look into fat graft. Well see how I go. No rush for me at all. Unless something changes drastically or complications I can't imagine occur this has been a good experience. Back to walking with family today and teaching my son for about 2 hours. Worked for our company about an hour and a decent my doc appointment. So life almost totally back to normal and no pain. Doc said I could now sleep on my side and leave bra off at night. Think I'll start with leaving bra on and sleeping how I'm comfortable. Will graduate to sleeping without bra later????

I am a 54 yr old woman in Kelowna as well and having my implants taken out on Dec 8th but using Dr. Peterson who originally put them in. Havent put my profile up on here yet but thinking about it....nice to see someone local on here and hoping for a similar result but I have very large implants to have removed. Also thinking of doing a TT at the same time but still not too sure on that part due to the recovery process...Glad to see you are well on your way to full recovery :)
