I chose to have a tummy tuck, muscle repair and lipo to the flanks and inner and outer thigh lipo after I saw what I really looked like in a swimsuit. I've always had a low self esteem but that picture made it worse.
I didn't know what to expect before my consultation but I knew I wanted to get rid of the belly fat. I've tried and tired many things over the years but nothing seemed to work.
The consultation was thorough and Dr Rumalla gave me very realistic expectations and guided me through the process.
The first week after surgery was brutal because I could hardly sit up, use the restroom or get dressed without help. The second week was better but I was tired of having to continue to slump over because my stomach muscles were so tight and I was definitely ready to have the drain tubes removed.
After the end of the second week, my husband had to go back to the middle east so I had to figure this out on my own. I was exhausted all of the time because my body was using all of my energy to heal and all I could think of was how to get the next nap in.
Week three I was able to remove the tubes but I had to go shopping for a Christmas party outfit. I was still very swollen but felt pretty confident in wearing something a little snug. My energy level was still a little sluggish but thanks to great vitamins and lots of sleep, I was doing much better.
Week four the stitches came out and I started using Scar Guard. My incision is actually healing very well and once the red/purple color goes away, you won't even be able to see the scar because it's so thin.
At week 7 I was able to get to the gym on the treadmill and do light weights and made changes to my diet to insure that dang fat was not coming back. A tummy tuck is definitely motivation to change your life choices about food.
Now it's week 9 and I feel fantastic! There's still some swelling but I suspect it will go away soon. I'm not quiet ready for a swimsuit yet but with my new proper way of eating and a little exercise, I will definitely be ready when summer does get here.
Thanks to Dr Rumalla, I have found a new level of confidence within myself which I haven't personally felt in many years.

What an amazing Doctor and incredible staff! I knew right away Dr Rumalla was the one I wanted to do my procedure. He takes the time to explain exactly what to expect, he is the one checking on you after surgery and is meticulous about following up on your progress. Although the follow up visits are very quick, he remembers the details from each of my visits, is very professional and exudes how passionate he is about what he does; which it's clearly shown in the results. Although I still have a little swelling, you can see from the photos, his work is definitely top notch! Dr Rumalla has far exceeded my expectations. His beside manner is second to none and he genuinely cares how you are healing from both an emotional and physical standpoint and I would recommend this doctor to anyone looking to have plastic surgery. Dr Rumalla is well beyond 5 stars in my book!
