Nervous before surgery and no one to help...

Nervous before surgery and no one to help alleviate it.Surgery went as anticipated,no problems and straightforward.Recovery taking longer than expected.More swelling in eye and face area then expected.Be prepared for some serious down time if you are a sweller.Take at least a week off to recover as you will have to sleep upright for most of that week.Eyes were so swollen that I was unable to see properly for two days.

I had normal expectations of the surgery itself and recovery time.What I didn't expect however,was to be treated as if I didn't matter! After surgery,the surgeon said nothing to me and left the room,no followup after and didn't even take the time to see me during stitch removal at one week post op. I found him to be very dismissive and blame myself for not researching a better doctor for my surgery. I was saddened and depressed by the whole event,when it should have been a happy time for me as I was saving for this surgery for a few years.I feel letdown by his dismissive manner and arrogant attitude.
