Finally got my medicine! After finally registering...

WORTH IT
Finally got my medicine! After finally registering for the ipledge program online. Showing my pharmacist my card and waiting 20 minutes for my prescription. I finally got it! The packaging is crazy with pregnant women everywhere on it!
For accutane since it's such a strong drug the dermatologists make you sign up for this program called ipledge basically so you don't get pregnant while on the medicine.
You have to chose two types of birth control I chose bc pills and male condoms. Before you start accutane you have to wait a month then before you go in to get started on it you have to do blood work and a pee test to make sure you're healthy, you're not pregnant, and a good candidate for the medicine.
Today March 1, 2017 is my first day on it. I'll post pictures of my face and everything tomorrow. I took it at night after dinner...

White lady, very enthusiastic, answers all your questions, explains as much as possible, nice, knowledge, caring, and professional. Although sometimes trying to get an appointment is hard. I originally had my doctors office conveniently located at their other location in town, but it was even more worse trying to schedule an appointment at that location so they moved me to Kailua. Now I have to travel to Kailua to go and see a dermatologist and I live about 30 miles away, which is a pain. I care about my face though so whatever and I'm too lazy to go through all the trouble with my insurance.

They started me off with 40mg just one pill for my first month then depending how my body reacts to it they might up my dose next month to two pills.

Nothing crazy yet I'm going to up my dosage to two pills 80mg for my second month so we'll see if upping the drug intake might make me have more side effects who knows...

I was on it for 7 months and have 100% clear skin now. You are going to love what this drug will do for your face. The first couple months will be tough but I promise you, to be patience and you will not regret it!
