Juvederm Voluma ruined my face - my whole face is lumpy
Juvederm Voluma Ruined my Face
Voluma-does It Really Wear Off?
I booked midface fillers to reduce the look of my eye bags with a Nurse injector. She decided to build cheekbones, which are uneven. The mid face filler is also uneven and lumpy. Has anyone actually tried to wait it out? Did your filler resolve on its own? The nurse tried to get me to agree to dissolve, but I was so upset about my results that I couldn’t even visit her again. I saw a plastic surgeon and immediately he told me not to dissolve because it can ruin your natural tissue. He’s willing to try to even out the result in a few more weeks after giving the Voluma time to really settle. If it will actually dissolve on its own I may just wait instead of adding more. Thank you.

Will Voluma Really Dissolve on It’s Own? Has Anyone Just Let It Fade Away? What’s Your Experience?
I went in for mid face fillers in February, and the specialist nurse injector decided to try and build cheekbones, which I expressly said I didn’t want. She said at the time that 1ml per side is conservative and would look natural. As you can see from the pictures, the work is incredibly asymmetrical, with lumps, bumps, different shapes & heights. I had a pretty symmetrical face before and was quite happy. I just wanted a little bit of filler in the front of my cheeks to off set my eye bags. Obviously she botched the filler. She blamed swelling for the first 7 weeks! I should be getting a refund soon.
What I want to know is can I just wear glasses and let the Voluma fade away? I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon to even out the sides, but if that makes it stay longer than I might want to just let it metabolise. Please refrain from commenting about getting a dissolve. I’m frankly frightened at the medical community’s attitude that filler mistakes can just be dissolved away. I feel the augmentations are not taken seriously, and perhaps dissolving has become a large stream of income, tempting some unethical injectors to give poor results. 4 sessions of attempting to dissolve this Voluma would be even more expensive than the original filler. I’ve also read too many stories of people’s skin being permanently damaged, or dissolving just not working after multiple sessions. Will it really metabolise and disappear if there are no touch ups? Thanks
