Juvederm Ultra Plus Lip Fillers

I wanted fuller lips and have seen enough good results to go forth and try it out and I’m glad I did. It was a subtle change and I’m still swollen but I do notice a difference. I came to my appointment 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork and once that was done, I was taken to the back and they put a numbing gel over my entire mouth area. After 20 minutes I was taken into a room with a chair in the center and I could see the syringes already opened to my right. She wiped off the gel and quickly yet strategically injected the serum into my lips. Mostly at the bottom and a little up top. I didn’t want a bigger upper lip than a bottom lip, and I wanted them directly placed in my lips for volume and didn’t care for smile lines or anything else on my face. Surprisingly it was very painless! You cold feel when they poke your skin and feel a substance being injected in your lip to make them protrude out but it isn’t unbearable by any means. It was about a 15-20 minutes process. They told me I would be swollen for a few days but like most people, I don’t mind them swollen and kinda like it. Once they go down I think I will have a much more natural look. I decided to go with Juvederm Ultra Plus because I wanted fuller lips and I read doctors opinions stating that it was a thicker substance than jus the Juvéderm Ultra or Vollbella, even Restylane took more to equate to Juvederm Ultra Plus and I definitely wanted some bang for my buck. If you’re scared to get lip injections in fear of the pain I gotta say, it’s nothing to worry about and that lip numbing cream really does the job. I’m sure without it the procedure would have been slightly uncomfortable.

Sometimes I think my fillers are going away, but then I remember they’re only swollen for the first week and will go down to reveal the actual shape. They look less ridiculous now and when I touch my lips I can definitely feel the filler in it. Overall, things are going well besides the fact that they’re tender and talking too much makes they feel sensitive. I’ll probably post an update after 2 weeks when I know they’re healed.
