Had fillers done by a nurse practitioner, terrible results. Over filled, infection, still suffering with terrible pain on my cheek bone. Consulted several plastic surgeons, they all agree, I have infraorbital injury. This injury is usually sustained by direct injury to the nerve which created a hematoma . It has been 6 months and I still have so much on the bone.

Could you please let me know or PM me which specialist read your MRI and saw the damage to your salivary gland? I am also in the Bay area and had a similar experience a year ago when a dermatologist hit my 5th cranial nerve while injecting filler in my jaw line. That has caused an awful amount of painful symptoms in my ear, teeth, throat, cheek and has unfortunately also caused vision problems. I have had an MRI done of the brain as the neurologist wanted to see if something else is causing the symptoms such as a tumor but that was negative. They also did an MRA of my head, I still have the images but would love to find a specialist that can actually see what damage the filler and the injection itself has caused as my neurologist does not have any experience with that. I did not have any hyaluronidase injected as both specialists I saw after were against it and worried it would cause more problems. It was thankfully regular Restylane so hoping overtime it will dissolve on it's own. I still have pain although better than what it used to be. I am so sorry for what you are going through, it is a nightmare!
