Juvederm

I’m 40, almost 41. I am losing volume everywhere where I WANT volume and was gaining volume everywhere where I did NOT want volume. I’ve been going to Dr Chiu since my early/mid 30’s (because his office was right next to where I worked at the time). I would harass him hoping he would give me a face lift. He wold laugh at me and tell me “absolutely not”, I asked him if we can lock in a price, lol...I’m getting off topic here...

Anyway I felt it was time to add volume back into my cheek area. I haven’t had Botox and fillers in so long because of $$$$ issues surrounding my mommy makeover so I was also bothered by my orange peel dimpled chin, curious if I could use a touch up in my lips.

Still being hurting in the financial department, I consulted him knowing for a fact I wanted fullness in the cheeks and if I could afford nothing else, that was my priority. He gave me a reasonable price on the kybella treatment with the filler in the cheeks, so I accepted that and will have to wait on the Botox. For the $, the fillers would give me longer results and kybella, permanent results which is a super plus.

He looked at my face and agreed the cheek area and if some filler would be left (it wouldn’t be much, but...), he would put some in my lip (just to even it out, it was a bit uneven), and if there was enough left (which would be a miracle), he’d put it in my chin. And he did tell me ahead if time that if some material would be left for the chin, I would only have a subtle result. I was totally fine with that. ANY result in this area wold have me jumping for joy. I have been getting Botox in my chin for a few years now and it doesn’t last but a month, so I just don’t bother paying and paying so I am glad we experimented with the juvederm. I will certainly be using juvederm (or filler) in my chin from now on because this subtle result made me SO happpy!

Anyway, for sharing one treatment between all of these areas meticulously, I am thrilled, absolutely THRILLED with the result so far!!! It is amazing at what an improvement can be made with such a subtle result!!!!

I wish I thought to take before pics so I can compare before and after. I am sure when I have time I can go through my phone to find something so that by the time my swelling goes down with my kybella, I can show I this subtle but awesome improvement.

Dr. Chiu is awesome. If I had it my way... and had the money to have it my way, Dr. Chiu would refuse to do probably about 70% of what I ask because he takes pride in his craft. He is more than a plastic surgeon, he’s an artist, a sculptor. He is conservative & will do what can result in improvement without crossing the threshold of having his patients to come out looking freakish...where some plastic surgeons would take every nit picky concern you present to them and be ready to schedule you for as many treatments as possible. Doc will tell me when he feels I am being too hard on myself, and what areas that I feel are ugly abnormalities, he finds to be endearing features.
