Voluma

almost back to normal

TexasLonghorns2
$2,200
After the second round to dissolve the Voluma it looks nearly back to what it was prior to the injections. I am going to leave *well enough* alone. I was refunded my money, handled graciously as ever because of this situation. The office is very professional. I DID NOT GO TO A MEDI-SPA! Would I go back? No, because it's too strange to keep discussing this issue. But I am satisfied. I'll post pictures again soon as I can. From what I have learned after talking to virtually hundreds of doctors (most did not perform this procedure) is that every person is made up differently and that there is no perfect. Cure. Voluma reacted poorly in my body. Lesson learned. And unfortunately because of this, i've lost a great doctor. =(

I'm sorry to read this experience. I'm sure this was a total letdown. I didn't think Voluma was indicated for eye troughs? I was under the impression it was for mid-face. My partner had his eyes done with Radiesse and had a very good result. If you decide to get filled again think about that one. Voluma is a heavy filler that really jacks you up! Sorry to hear again and keep up updated.

Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid based gel filler that tends to be softer and more malleable. It can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if necessary. Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite filler. While it may be thicker and more prone to lumps, if injected at the right depth, it can offer great results, but it cannot be injected into the lips or the under eye area. Radiesse is not reversible.

I had the same experience with Voluma injected in the tear trough area of my right eye. my eye was black and blue for two weeks. I wanted to look good for my daughter's wedding and I was so disappointed that I had to cake the area with makeup to hide the black. I now have a tear trough with a fluid filled area that looks awful. I wonder if my doctor will give me a refund. I don't trust him to use anything to dissolve this area.

Bonrae - Don't let him touch it. Learn from my horrific mistake that is Still a major issue for me. Go to a Plastic surgeon.

Who was your Doctor in Nasville? Just moved to Nasville and I'm looking for a good Dr. Here

Go to Dr. Goldberg or to Dr. Pena (in Franklin - Cool Springs) They both have really good reputations.

That is true Deb, I had a very strange reaction with belotero in my tear trough. I had bruising that lasted weeks and also my under eye area was red, enflamed and scaling. But after all subsided the results were fantastic. I also had a very skilled plastic surgeon use volume in my trough, no problem - other than some bruising which does last a couple weeks. Someone should have told bonrae it is never a good idea to have any face treatment anywhere close to a major event. In fact I think most women oh here react way too quickly and ultimately are drowning out legitimate concerns and negative reviews. It makes it hard on this site to get good assessments with all the hysterics.

How rude for you to leave a comment like that on my comments. Apparently YOU must be one of his many employees required to fight the backlash as he would say. Screw you, I did not get hysterical and YOU KNOW IT SINCE YOU WORK THERE!

Now I'm PISSED

TexasLonghorns2
So, it's been a month and after going in there and Dr. Mejia telling me that the swelling would go down once the black and blue went away, however the bruising is disappearing yet the 'bubble' effect is still there.
I am going in next week to hopefully have them inject the 'cure all' for this to dissolve the Voluma that was injected into my eye area.
This has been a major inconvenience for me as I am an author and traveling at this time to attend book signings. After about the 5ooth person asked me what was wrong with my eye, I knew I could not just wait for the swelling to go down. To say I am beyond angry is an understatement.

I'm so sorry for your horrible experience. Please let us know what happens with the dissolving? I had a terrible result from hyaluronidase under the eyes. Are you going to the same doctor to have it done? Injecting hyaluronidase requires a greater skill than injecting filler so you might want to find someone else. Please keep us updated. What's your book? I need something good to read to pass the time while my hideous disaster face goes away! Best of luck to you. K

How are you doing now ?? I would think twice about having this same doctor inject the reversal agent under your eyes....it can leave your under eye area worse if not done properly. This doctor should have know not to use Voluma for under the eye area. If I were you I would demand a refund!! These doctors need to be held accountable.

I am not doing well. I have an appointment on Friday of this week. I don't know anywhere else to go! "SUPPOSSEDLY" this doctor is considered highly. However, I would NEVER go back to him after this. I am forced to go back now because he refuses to give me a refund. Trust me, when this is said and done, I am going to go on EVERY. SINGLE. DOCTOR ratings websites and leave ZERO stars for this abuser.

I know exactly how you feel. You get trapped with the bad doctor because it's better the devil you know and you don't know anyone else anyway. They tell you one lie after another because they are trying to cover their mistake and you believe it because you are desperate for something to fix it. I cannot believe what has happened to me. I really can't believe it. And you seem in the same boat. Please let me know if you get a resolution. I have an appointment this morning with a new surgeon but I'm not hopeful. I'm scared that he will say there is nothing he can do.

I am so sorry, I know how you feel...I had a horrible experience once. Where are you located in Florida?? I have heard great things about Dr Hochstein..I think he's in Miami. I have you in my prayers...sending hugs to you. It will get better.

KP72 - I don't write the type of books that are sold in regular bookstores. I write for hospitals and hospice. I also tour the US and world to lecture to physicians about the grief parents who have lost a child. I'm not comfortable saying much more as I value my privacy. =)

Rejuvius

TexasLonghorns2
Hello all,
My swelling is slowly going down, but the black and blue bruise is still quite large.
That said, I read online about two products called Rejuvius and Juveliere.
I cannot find any REAL reviews about these products. All I can find online are advertisements.
I'm wondering if ANYONE has used these and if they are good products to incorporate into a daily routine.
