Congrats! You have extended your life by many, many years! I have lost 85lbs so far and want to get to 100 so bad. My surgery will take place in June 2012... I will be praying you have a successful surgery and a swift recovery... :)

I'm 3 week's 4 days post-opt and im felling kindda...
i'm 3 week's 4 days post-opt and im felling kindda blue today i read everyons post and everyone swelling is going down they have lil flat bellies and and here i am the same as i was 2 weeks ago all swollen and round from the bottum of my ribs down to my hips i know i am some smaller but at the same time i cant even snap my old jean's not even close i guess thats why im blue

Hi buffyduck, don't feel blue you look amazing already!!! Your swelling will go away and you will look even more fabulous.

I thought by me taking all these anti-swelling agents I wouldn't encounter all this swelling and Im still swelled. Just can't wait until it gets better.

It just takes time. Get up and move around and when it starts to hurt sit down and rest. I do find myself taking naps from time to time to get some rest and that has helped. I myself have not takin any anti-swelling stuff just take the time and be safe healing.

Don't get down! Â This is a long process and each person heals at their own pace. Â It will continue to get better and better so hang on. Â Keep drinking your fluids, rest as needed and keep stress free. Â
I promise you will get there and this will all come to an end. Â You can do this girlie!

Hey buffyduck, you look great! I'll be 3 weeks PO this coming Thurs. and I still have some swelling, it is much better than it was last week this time but I do still have some swelling. But that's just a part of the healing process so just try to hang on in there because it will get better!

Ya know I am at the same point you are Daffy. Blue gone feeling good and the swelling is going down more and more. I notice that I have to keep on the go. I am walking 20 minutes a day. It is not alot but it is good. I walk my dog and she loves it. I hope that your healing is going well.

Today I noticed that some swelling has started going down and I can see the start of a 6 pack .
My super wonderful husband is looking at me like a ribeye steak with all the trimming's . Man it feel's good ! I'm posting new pic's today . And TY Ladies for all the up lifting word of encariagement I could not have kept it together with out all your help and great post and pic's . I'm so glad this page is here .I hope that some how we are helping all the ladies out there, that are going through or thinking about going through what we have. Because this was a very big step for most of us and will be for minny ladies / men to come after us . All I can say to anyone that might read this is keep you head up and just think about how great you'll look after it;s all done and do what your doctor's tell you to do they know best thats why they get the big $$$$$$$$

No all my steri strips are all gone have been for a few weeks. I am just waiting for all my scabs to finish healing. They are coming off in the shower

was it painful when they took the strips off. Maybe mine will come off tomorrow. You know I think that's a great idea walking outside everyday. Ive been in the house for the last three weeks and went for a five minute walk this morning and my stomach felt so tight like the muscles needed to stretch some. I think that would assist in recovering. The longer I sit here the tighter I will become. It's cold outside, but Im going to walk around the block tonight. Thanks guys.

ty kimmers My hubby is a BIG steak man and ribeye's are his fav and he was helping me outta the shower this morning and he had the same look in he's eye's he get's when he knows we are going to the long horn for a ribeye dinner . I know you all have seen this look on your mans face it the look of a dog sitting out side the meat shop waiting for that one bone to hit the floor . lol if i would have said jump boy he would have been all over me lol he is so funny

lol he is all ready asking if there are any things i want or need and if i tell him some thing he jumps right to it but i dont want to over do it he has all ready told me that when i feel up to it and my swelling gone he is going to hand my $5,000.00 to go shopping for new close .but he did put a marker on it i have to buy at lest 5 sexy lil nighty's . he is such a man ....lol....love him to death you couldnt get me to tread him in on ten that was half what he is
