WORTH IT
I had my surgery earlier today. And first of all - much more painful than I expected. This isn't for the faint of heart, even if it the doctor does it everyday and it "only" takes an hour. Yes you need the strong pain killers they prescribe. My throat is very sore. I'm just waiting for things to improve and I think they have a little bit. I believe the worst part is over. Not much else to say at the moment. Susan the patient coordinator is great to deal with and gives emotional support. Dr Lee seemed confident about what he was doing. Just hope to have some nice results at the end!

Just an update to say that I'm feeling much better. The sore throat lasted about 24 hours. I took the compression bandage off today and running a brush through my hair never felt so good! I'm on a liquid diet for another half a week which is pretty boring. FYI I'm female with strong jaw.

Swelling progress
archie56August 19, 2020
Some photos of my swelling. It's day 4 and I might leave the house for the first time to get a coffee. I was thinking I really appreciate being able to wear a face mask in this type of situation.
Send me a message. I'm bored. (:
