Facial Contouring and Face and Neck Lift
WORTH IT
I had facial contouring surgery together with a face and neck lift at DA Plastic Surgery on April 23.
Overall, my experience with the clinic was good. The doctors, nurses, and staff were kind and took good care of me throughout my stay. There were a few instances of miscommunication, which caused me some anxiety, but whenever I raised my concerns, the nurses were willing to check on me and answer my questions.
The hardest part of my recovery was the day after surgery. I experienced acid reflux that caused frequent burping, which made me worry because it moved my face and mouth. I also developed a mild cold after surgery, so breathing was quite difficult. Thankfully, both issues gradually improved over the following days.
Recovery itself was a bit challenging because I had to stay on a soft-food diet, which unfortunately made my acid reflux worse. Another incident that worried me was when I accidentally scratched some of my incisions because I thought they were dried blood tangled in my hair. I wasn’t aware those incisions were there as the nurses forgot to inform ne, so I panicked afterward. The nurses examined them and reassured me that everything was okay.
My package also included post-operative recovery services such as deswelling light therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and one shampoo service, which I appreciated.
At the time of writing this review, I’m a little over two months post-op. Unlike some other patients I’ve seen online, I’m still experiencing quite a bit of swelling. Because of that, I honestly can’t judge my final results yet. Compared with my pre-op photos, the changes currently seem subtle, and my jawline still looks similar to before. I also still have some loose skin under my chin that concerns me, although I’m hopeful it’s related to swelling and that it will continue to improve as healing progresses.
For now, I don’t think it’s fair for me to comment on the final outcome because I know facial surgeries can take several months to fully settle. I’ll update this review with a more comprehensive assessment once I’m fully healed. So far, my experience with the clinic and staff has been positive, and I’m looking forward to seeing the final results.
